Congrats on 500 interviews, Jonathan. You are doing great work. Yes, unfortunately, many Western leaders do not want Ukraine to win - just to survive. That is partly fear of Moscow but also fear of the consequences of Moscow losing. Some retain a cultural assumption that somehow Moscow is inherently a significant power and centre. Sullivan and some others want two incompatible things: a safe and secure Ukraine and Europe; and a stable Moscow. But Putin and his gang have predetermined that Moscow will become less stable over time anyway. And what Moscow fears most, at the back of their minds and in the darkest hours of the night, is that their state and culture might become irrelevant to world development. The only things they have to offer are nuclear sabre rattling and a 'dig and sell' economy.

What makes you think Harris can do any better than Biden who holds back weapons, use or the weapons and is generally intimidated by Pootin? She has no experience and when she was actually put in charge of something, U.S. border crisis, she did nothing! Trump wants NATO and Europeans to live up to their commitments which they are starting to do. Secondly, Trump sent offensive weapons to Ukraine when Biden/Obama refused. Trump also supported our allies in the destruction of the ISIS Califate. Although Trump may seem like he won't support Ukraine but there is a better chance he can assist Ukraine in the DEFEAT of Pootin, something Biden won't do and Harris doesn't have the skill or guts to do.

As a Canadian, I am horrified that a Russian propagandist has received government funding, albiet indirectly, for this "film". I am even more upset that TIFF remained willing to show it!! I am relieved that it has been cancelled. In my view, we must all be wary of such Russian influence and come to realize that it can happen in ANY country to any person. We can't afford to be so gullible. Canadians overall support Ukraine. Slava Ukraini!!

Although not as good as destroying these weapons, as to aircraft, every kilometer further from the front means more flight time on each airframe during each mission. Aircraft do wear out even with maintenance

Yes, why are they so loose lipped and gobby in US military circles about what they are going to give Ukraine or not? Thank heaven Ukraine kept the Kursk op to itself. Ionder if the Us spokes people like to boast, or do they think it will eeter Russia.Have they really learned about subterfuge and keeping certain important information to themselves. I am lost for words at some of the unprofessional behaviour at this level.

In time of active warfare, there is no need to warn the enemy of what weapons you have and when you will receive them, in fact that would be foolish. They will all find out soon enough anyway what you're throwing at them.

When I taught English in Taganrog in 1996 I had a student aged about 15. His dad was a big trader in the local market. When I asked my students what they thought their future professions would be his answer was “Killer” - yup his desired career was a gangster. I often wonder if he is still alive or is he fertilising the fields of Ukraine.

Hmmm... only just thought of this. New buildings in Mariupol and other cities means that say, construction workers(?) Are removing the debris, and likely finding civilians, old women in basements, and the like. No one is saying anything. This just adds to the Russian mindset of....what.... depression, apathy, "not my problem" or even PTSD???
