It's because nobody likes the progrock crap they've been coming out with for the last few albums /s. In fairness, it's still Opeth but songs like this one are the reason Opeth has so many fans.
@@matycee yes, is a little faster, but they never played Heir Apparent faster, even in the tour back in 2008, I watch lots of Opeth live videos on YT Actually they used to play quite slower with axe
Love that they play all the different songs that they have and not a select few every time the play live unlike other bands(I’m looking at you slipknot). All their songs are bangers and they know it. Giving the people what they want…their catalogue of music in person.
I loved Axenrot and everything he contributed and I’m so glad this guy is able to pick up where he left off and just totally dominate. If Martin Lopez came back, it would make my freaking life complete, but I know that’s not going to happen.

Drummer is on point. Easily the best drummer Opeth ever had lol, I don't think I've heard this song played this fast before. Dude is a monster. Opeth is really back on track right now!

Do you miss the dragging, too? Homie was a monster in his early Opeth days, but by the 2016 mark dude dragged old Opeth songs to shit. Listen to the Heir Apparent, Deliverance or Demon of the Fall on Red Rocks. A snore.
