“No, isn’t in my creative vocabulary”. There’s people in this world who seriously want artists to say no when it pertains to creativity. They get attached to this idea that an artist owes the fans something because they’ve purchased their work. They feel like an artist is all about their brand of art and they should only keep building that brand. Artists create art! Get involved with art and stop being your own selfish brand of authority. Expand your horizons. Get interested in what and where an artist is going with their art. Not get excited for the same thing over and over. People like to get the same thing over and over. People people need to get over themselves. You don’t own an artist.

So much respect for this man. He has done what he wants to do with his vision and his art and although he was greatly criticized for the change of style of Opeth, he continued on, knowing that it would create a divide in the fan base. This man is a true ARTIST

take this seriously: i listen you for at least 10 years, and i think heritage and pale communion are best 2 albums of opeth. i also like SC. lock howl has one of the most original music parts i ve ever heard in years. i think i understand you mikael, please continue your experiments and dont care that shitty metalhead losers. you are doing a wonderful job.

Orchid/morningrise and Heritage are my favorite albums. They're the most raw albums it seems. The recordings were done very well. Very natural sounds.. I really enjoyed heritage. It was the first album I actually ever heard from Opeth and I fell in love with it.
