Now i know why my granny squares were looking sloppy. I dont need a chain between the clusters on the sides. Im learning lol. Thank you for making this video.
I think the first step to make that tiny circle has to be the most difficult to be comfortable with, I always tell my friends that I have shown how to crochet to practice this first step before I teach the next step😊
Hello , my name is Magda and I see your vídeos from Portugal, I have learn a lot whith you. Just like to ask you if we can start a granny square whith a magic ring. I am sorry my bad english. Tank you very much
Hello, I’m making a granny square blanket like this one you are making. I wonder and want to learn if I should wash each square block them then connect them with your “join as you go” method. Please help and I love all of your projects, I only wish I have more time to make these beautiful memories. Thank you. ❤K.
Hello KFC, I don't wash and block each square, in fact l very seldom block any of my crochet, but I do wash it at the end. Enjoy your crochet, no rush, Anja x
Could you please spell the term of what you are calling this color group? I am not quite understanding when you say it. I would have never thought to add that bright red with those colors but it looks beautiful.
They are Cath Kidston-inspired colours. You can find the yarn pack to make this blanket on my website www.opheliatalkscrochet.com/stylecraft-special-dk-yarn-packs Thank you for watching Patty ! Anja xxx 💕🌈
Oh my goodness Anje. I love these colours, and the throw. So off I went 2 minutes up the road to my wool shop. Well they only did king Cole. I bought, the closest colours to yours but although it was fabulous quality, it was thicker, and just not right. My daughter agreed. So I ordered the exact same wool that you have, and it glides over the hook great. Its such a small hook lol !!!.I do bulky T-shirt yarn, etc.However. I love the colours and that glides ,like butter. So I will take a photo next year and show you 😀. I only started a Xmas, and I soon realized I would be better with an ergonomic hook. I tried to use my first one, like you use the other day,and I can no longer hold it. I have arthritis in my hand .I find it mesmerizing watching your hook move so quickly .Anyway, thankyou for the video. My regards, Amanda,Sorry I've pinched you colour scheme .😁
Amanda, Enjoy it! I looked around for the colours too, as I wanted these particular ones! yes, stylecraft is really good acrylic yarn to work with!! I look forward to seeing your result, look on facebook I have a page calles Ophelia Talks and I think you can post pictures on there! happy hooking! xxx
Hi Peggy, this is the link to my website to purchase the pack but in the description is also the information which colours they are, so if you have them in your stash.... You would need a full pack of 15 balls to create a single bed blanket. www.opheliatalkscrochet.com/stylecraft-special-dk-yarn-packs/cath-kidston-colour-yarn-pack-stylecraft-special-dk
**Why do some Granny square blankets appear to have big holes throughout the blanket and some don't? Are there different, tighter type stitches?? I thought, Granny meant granny. New and confused.** lol *recent subbie too.
