I never listened to this show until I discovered the genius of Patrice O’Neil and went full deep dive into all his RU-vid videos where he spoke a lot. Most the videos I ended up getting was taken from the opie and Anthony show. Every damn time it was the same pattern of muddling through Opie’s child mindset and ignorance to get to the gems of knowledge Patrice would drop. It’s the same damn thing in this video with bill where that dude is just so child like it’s hard to even understand how he became so successful on radio. Did the general public just agree with his mindset and relate to it or what the fuck? Bill is so many levels above this dude but it’s annoying because he will never understand or have the self awareness to understand his position in the room. I’ve had run ins with these minds and it’s the hardest thing to engage with because the lack of thought behind this type of person ideas. Shocks me how some people just live in this eternal ignorance and have no clue that majority of mature people just nod and agree just because they know the convo won’t go any where and the amount of energy needed to convey their points is heavy so the smart choice is just smile then hit ‘em with a “well that’s very interesting, I gotta get going but it was nice speaking with you” then internally thinking “god that dude was dumb as hell, really dodged a bullet and got out of there”
I know you said you've heard the show a few times, but I'm not surprised you're not quite seeing the appeal of the show if you don't know the difference between opie and anthony. Bill won the argument, no doubt, but anthony is one of the funniest people on the planet, along with bill. It's just my opinion and has nothing to do with Anthony's racist leanings. I'm sure there's many people who have the same opinion.

god I'm really over commenting on this vid but thought it merited a re-listen but just realised how good a comedian Bill Burr is,he can make an articulate point without sounding pompous, he can spin a joke in a second to lighten the mood so you automatically listen more and he actually made that entertaining,Anthony was doing his best to drag that down to the gutter and make it trash radio his treatment of that Canadian caller was insanely harsh considering the guy was polite, Anthony you may think you have accomplished something with your life but your just a guy who talks on the radio no better no worse than a guy who drains your many hot tubs
Ant is not really racist. He accepts the label because he is called that by so many surface-level of thinking Progressive's, but I have never really heard Ant say anything truly hateful or disparaging about races of people. Ant speaks honestly about race and exposes hypocrisy in the way that groups of people are expected to behave in society. This kind of talk is so taboo in our culture, that the politically correct must condemn him. He is to be branded with a scarlet "R" (racist) and he must be ostracized and banished. People who think this way are so ignorant.

I don't know if Bill's ignorance is genuine or if he just plays it for convenience. I mean it's pretty ignorant and disingenuous to respond to factual statements about the characteristics of different groups or colors of people in the US by being like "well that's not the case for you Anthony" or whatever. For example, it's true that kids raised in fatherless households are less likely to succeed than kids raised in traditional family units with both mom and dad. Of course, there are exceptions. Of course some people raised by a single mom become very successful and likewise some people raised by both parents become absolute failures. Of course exceptions exist! But trying to argue an obvious fact by being like "yeah well what about this exception" is ignorant and disingenuous.
