@@nizzle6588 hardly. He was clever enough to humorously articulate certain aspects of the human condition which fit his narrative but the bigger picture was lost on him.
Anthony is very underrated as an impressionist: Sassy black woman 50s announcer Stock modern day reporter Andrew Dice Clay Arnold Schwarzenegger Colonel Trautman Am I missing some?
Poor parenting is the cause. Too many people have a lack of work ethic, no respect for anyone, and lack of manners. We all learn from or parents, good or bad.
That's The Pavilions in West LA. We used to have a pet sitting business. Tom Cruise and Gerard Butler were a couple of hours clients that I got as a referral from the concierge at a cold called. Palazzo at the grove etc. Some of the best pet sitters happened to be gay. They're always auditioning for movies in between pet sitting
I swear that's my ma all the way. A big black lady. She says anything she wants to anybody, man, woman, child, doesn't matter. My grandma told me she used to fight guys all the time. Even fought one at the church
I wasn't fully into Patrice's comedy but after he passed I saw the impact he had, and these episodes are what the best JRE episodes with Joey Diaz are like but all the time lmao
"Dildo shaped iced tea" - lines like that are a classic example of Patrice's uniquely hilarious, charmingly corny and brilliant mind. That part of Patrice is what made me a huge fan, in spite of his frequently infuriating views on women and race. The great Colin Quinn summed it up perfectly when he said, "Patrice is in heaven, charming half, infuriating half, then reversing." Patrice: YOU ARE MISSED.
Hate the views if you like. He is just telling the truth of our nature and what we like anyway. I know biology and what men want its sin and forbidden today, but the info is still there.
oh man, hours of stuff that will make me laugh for years. Thank you Vos for introducing Patrice to O&A, and thank you to Patrice for being real. Rest in Peace big man.
I'm southern and I LOOOOOVE fat black middle-aged women, because we have that whole "mammy" shit ingrained in us, they take care of our pasty asses, they stick up for us. that is SO part of southern mentality for better or worse. Those black women were basically our Mothers for GENERATIONS.
Brag about that shit all you want too, but that is the exact fucking reason black women are the least married, #1 in being single and lonely. That shit isn't cute or respectful and a lot of people despise them for that funky ass attitude.
Jesus, Patrice was _proper_ paranoid though. It's funny how he can relate how his mother has a take-no-shit attitude even when "there's no shit to be tooken", but apparently can't see how that also perfectly describes himself.
Mychael Darklighter If you pay attention, you'll notice that most people are a lot like their parents, sometimes even stunningly so, but are in complete denial about it.
He actually got it near the end, theres an actual radio clip about it. And as a personal experience, its hard to understand that we are following our parents steps and mistakes and harder to reverse it if we ever get the chance to just get it.
One of the few comedians who’s stand up holds up to his conversations . I listen to a lot of comedians podcasts , and I enjoy them , but their stand up is terrible . I haven’t heard a good special in 5 years . 2022 !
It's a stereo type of black American females. I hate the stereo type but I'm also not fond of people who fit that stereotype. Of which there seems to be a few.
i love patrice and i just have one comment from the very end, that will make me sound dickish, but hear me out, saying that he even pulls his wallet out when the girl is getting frustrated that shes already got his badge out, and still doing the wallet is going too far. you know that specific girl by now, just smile, and dont do the wallet thing, shell give you your badge man. miss ya patrice!
@RolandDeschain1 They're not - that's why there's so many bullshitter comedians get all the press while guys like Patrice have to fight even though he was better than them. It seeing the acclaim he got - in life and in death - that much more gratifying because you knew he got it from being himself and not playing that bullshit game others play.
Wish I coulda called in back when. There are enduring cultural stereotypes. I'm mature enough 2 understand that the demostratively rude, entitled guest @ my bougie gig,who are more than well off but also steal, messy&nasty af& constantly trying to get over...these few do not represent all who look similar. Who tf else is that mature? In love with racism&seperation we are!
I'll man the conversation was about to get good are about to talk about fat people in thinking that they can be in charge and on the position of authority it is embarrassing there should be no fat cops and no fat Securities at all pretty much an oxymoron at this point
