Here's a little OnA trivia, this episode in particular is the infamous moment that came up during the sour grapes argument. Opie was trying to corner ant about him taking days for poker tournaments and shit, but when ant brought up this instance that the Opster was out, he fell back on the preplanned stuntbrain excuse of, "he also went to a benefit for a cop that was shot." Because the Opster really thought people would buy that line of horse shit.

Seal clubbing is horrific on the surface but when you find out what it actually is it’s not as horrible as it sounds. Seal hunters hunt from boats with rifles. Often a mortally wounded/incapacitated seal is still alive after being shot. The clubbing is simply a way to put them out of their misery. The same way a hunter would put another round in a deer if it was still alive. I would never do it. But I also eat meat and what they do in commercial farming is no worse than seal hunting.

Patrice’s argument is flawed on the illegal site debacle. Yes, Danny would probably have obeyed Opie if he was there only because if the computer broke, Opie would be responsible for getting it fixed. If Danny just obeyed Patrice and got the computer virused, the company would have just asked “okay why did you just go with whatever the guest told you to do.” Opie has skin in the game for messing up, Patrice doesn’t, and frankly doesn’t need to; because he (Opie) works for the same company as Danny. That being said, I hate Danny and love Patrice.
