Opinions on Modern Nirvana Oracle

Loooove your spicy reviews :) But really, I do so appreciate reviews from people who have actually worked with the cards and can comment on the guidebook and how the cards actually read. So many "reviews" are just overly glowing first impressions!

The Nirvana card I see as ENLIGHTENMENT, it doesn't need anything outside, everything is inside, the background is the color of our blood... This drawing is to show that we are all connected! Natalee Miller’s artwork is definitely the highlight of both the Amenti Oracle and Modern Nirvana. Wish she would get paired with an author and production team that can get on that level that she’s on. Definitely some word salad going on in both guidebooks.

I'm so early!! I had this deck on my wishlist as well because the concept of modern nirvana sounds interesting and the art is beautiful but the whole structure is a mess. I already had to rework work your light and starseed to make them usable for me (I.e fixing rebecca Campbell's bs out of love for danielle's art😂)

So with the Discernment card, what I took away from it is that you should fully listen to the other person, let their words take effect in you, but also keep in mind that their words/ advice may be poison. I guess the way its phrased doesn't resonate with me. I want an oracle card to point me in one way or another and this one is "take people's advice!... or don't" which is less than helpful imo. I feel like in other decks, a similar sentiment would be something about "looking for signs around you" or something

You’re so funny 😂 I went through the same thing with Journey of a Lonely Soul Oracle” after watching Tarot Readings from a B!tch 😅🤣😂 her review of the deck caused me to have caution but at the same time intrigued me because the artwork is gorgeous and is more palatable than similar art decks from, i.e., Nicoletta Ceccoli’s creepy child-like aesthetic 🫣 I can’t withstand my decks having Chucky’s running after me in my subconscious #JustSaying, there’s other ways to work with our inner child… And seriously, 4 authors! For one oracle! That’s overkill.

From the examples you shared, the language seems like marketing to me. Attempting to sound substantive without cohesion or directed effort. It strikes me as talking down to the reader... the concepts/keywords seem constructive but as you have aptly said, they ARE accessible. Where they are less so, anyone who purchases the deck can supply the difference on their own or by looking something up elsewhere (which it seems you'd need to do anyway to do justice to that three vessels card, for example). Off the top of my head it makes me wonder if all of these authors spoke to each other or if they're all just trying to save face with one another by using vague language. It's like reading a bad chain of office emails! 😬
