It sounds like AI wrote the guidebook too. The Romantics rebelled against dehumanization resulting from the Industrial Revolution . I don’t think they’d be into this. This deck creeps me out.
Thank you for doing this, I have been (and others I know) feeling the heavy energy lately too. Helps to know it’s a collective thing and hear these encouraging messages. 🩵
You’re really killing this look! 🔥 I’m doing a No-Buy July for all hobby purchases since I do compulsively shop sometimes and forget to appreciate what I have. Stationery, tarot, and clothes are the biggest temptations here. Have to pause the buying cycle so I can breathe and remember what I already have, and/or to make what I have WORK for me. Cool for you that your favorite perfume is your own creation!
I really love these readings Mixtress, thank you 🙏. It is always fun to see how other people use tarot/oracle. And as soon as I saw that Mother of Pearl card, I said to myself ‘that’s me!’ - you were spot on with your interpretation. Blessings and wishing only good vibes.
Hey, Mixtress Rae. I just wanted to comment that I love that you're doing these readings more regularly. Normally I'm watching on the TV so I'm not commenting but I see you mate and I am a long time supporter ♥️🇦🇺
Wanted to watch this as soon as it came up, but didnt have the time to actually listen. So had to wait, but now here I am. It is a funky time for sure, My patience has been so frigging low, and just yesterday I told a dear friend that I didnt want him to come over cuz I was feeling like fresh poo I've never wanted kids, Im 44 and lost my mother in January, since my birthday i may I've had this deep grief of not having a child, a feeling I never thought I would feel, since it was always a very active choice not too have a child (past life trauma), but somehow losing my own mother made me really feel the emptyness of that choice. Where i live IVF is legal untill you are 47 but the stats show that out of 100 ivf treatments, 15 become heartbeat and out of those 15 0 living children was born last year - so I stand in this limbo of knowing that, and all the reasons for my choice not to have kids and time. Anyways
nice to watch this. i think Sword4 in the moon power deck is based on that card being about reflecting, considering how your next moves could play out, rather than look at Sword4 as primarily being about “rest.“ i like to think of the RWS Sword4 image as being narrated by the slain knight the tomb belongs to, who changed his mind & doesn’t feel like he died for a good cause anymore.
I needed this. I did pretty well, and then went through some stuff... just feeling worn down and off I went on a self soothing buying jag... ahhhh. Your words are so very welcome!
Loved this. I have a very strong bond to this deck and have always found it hard to full articulate it. So hearing someone else explain theirs is always fascinating to me. Even if it wasn't a love affair, I still find it such a curious and interesting thing when such time has been spent with a deck. I feel like TWU Indies are very hardy cardstock. Also some of my old school us games. They all have those tinged yellow loved edges haha. It's often how you can tell my faves.
I love this deck (I also missed its hype heyday). It is brilliant in its subtlety and simplicity. For instance, in the Moon card you cant see the ground, only the tops of the trees. It gives a subtle feeling of being ungrounded like you cant quite get your bearings. Same with the Tower card. Things like that are what I love about this deck. Also, the Wheel of Fortune is one of my favorite depictions of that card ever.
You didn't even show us your collage, and now I just want to see it 😬 I connect the wild unknown with dream language and sometimes it's deep and easy to connect too and other times it makes absolutely no sense at all. I liked the video and the look into an old tried friend - we don't need more decks we need to connect more to the ones we already have
I have a deck like this, that lives in my handbag, and I've been using it for 30 years now. Well, I am on my second copy actually, because the first copy isn't shuffleable anymore. But it held 25 years, before it needed replacement. Luckily it's mass market and still in print.
Yes! Instead of a walkthrough of the next new deck we should buy, a review of one of my favorite decks. I find it interesting to hear what others think about a deck I love myself.
Hey, I love your videos, I learn so so much from you. I have had my eye on the wild unknown for a while too, it’s really cool. Everytime I look for a review video they’re always old, so I was so happy to see a recent one! I have seen so many videos where you make reference to not liking David Bowie. As a super fan, I’m curious to know why. I say super fan, but I’m chill I promise 😂 just wanting to have the conversation. Only if you’re comfortable with that!
Thank you for your personal comments! Although you focused on the art being AI generated, I wonder if the guidebook writing was also AI generated?? Although Jennifer Sodini's intentions are real and from her heart... this Tarot deck seems a bit " artificial "
I agree with your review. Unfortunately I had purchased it before I saw any reviews. Also I had no idea until it was in my hands that it was AI. On a positive note I think it’s pretty but……Lesson learned.
1:59 pile 1 past ❤ 28:02 pile 2 present ❤ 54:54 pile 3 future ❤ just because I enjoy timestamps 🕺🦖🌼 <- I don't know why that's just today's cool emojis around here and it's always a good day when there's a mixtress video upload so you get the cool emojis
Really enjoyed this video Mixtress ❤. All of these piles (and your reading of the cards) resonated in some way. I have just started reading ‘If Women Rose Rooted’ by Sharon Blackie and the Future pile reiterated the message I got from her book earlier today. Of course, I had just looked up the price of Tantric Dakini when you were talking about the Present pile - you caught me red handed looking at MORE tarot decks 😅.
Agreed! Jennifer is a sweetie and I hope I’ll get to review her future decks with Natalee. It is really cool to get to have a discussion without pitchforks. I could get used to this!!
But even within abstract art, every brush stroke has intention and meaning behind it because it was a conscious choice of the artist. That spirit is what AI art lacks.
I love the Pulp Girls Tarot, the court cards are especially lovely. The Pages all having fairy/butterfly wings is a really great visual representation of the 'messenger' and more youthful/energetic aspect of that rank IMO.
I have Vision Quest too & I love it , it’s absolutely wonderful. The artwork is so beautiful & the guidebook is beyond excellent at providing wisdom & spiritual guidance. I enjoyed watching your tarot collection video so much - love your taste in decks. Thanks for sharing!!
Excellent review…or opinions. I would love to hear you talk about the difference between a review and an opinion. Are you a teacher? If not as a profession, it’s definitely a talent of yours. Thank you
I feel (for me anyway) I’d need to have had a lot of experience with a deck to call my opinions on it a “review”. I just don’t see myself as a professional critic, I guess. 😬
I love this art style so I was drawn to this deck. I have looked through several AI decks and I am not impressed. But I do want this deck for some reason. If you want it off your hands, I will take it. Lol😂
One more thing, I do enjoy the guidebook. I agree about Jennifer’s esoteric knowledge and there is absolutely soul between the covers of that book. She is a fantastic writer and I do have Amenti Oracle (and love it) so I also agree with you about another collab for a tarot deck. Maybe AI has a place in the world, however, I believe it just doesn’t when it comes to divination tools such as tarot and oracle decks. That’s my two cents for frees 🤷🏻♀️
I preordered this deck, although I admit didn’t do my due diligence and click “show more” where it listed AI, I actually just discovered this until a week or so ago, in fact, I remember it was exactly three days before release. I didn’t cancel though because I wanted to really give this one a chance. I was so excited about this deck, even marked it’s release in my planner, lol. I thought this was done with watercolor or even digitally created. One of My issues with AI is mainly what you see flooded on Etsy right now. Deck “creators” shitting out AI decks every other week and charging sickening, astronomically high prices for them. There’s one deck I purchased that did not disclose the deck was AI on KS, I had purchased it on their Etsy, but it’s a deck that when I found out I was disappointed, I also own another deck from the same creator, that one being mass market, not indie, and I’m questioning the legitimacy of that one as well. I do enjoy this deck visually, however I guess it was dipping my toe in the AI waters and as pretty as the cards are, I won’t be purchasing anymore AI decks ever again. I tried, gave it a knowing go, but there’s always going to be that void, that missing puzzle piece-soul. Even digital art is done by someone going in and they collage the images together. While I own and do love decks that took years upon years to be created, that’s not a requirement for me when buying and reading with decks. However, I’d take someone spending a few dedicated, heartfelt weeks creating a deck than this AI nonsense, it’s here, I get it. But, I do think that there are just certain things that shouldn’t have lines be crossed, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it shit. There should still be some boundaries and I feel using AI, especially creating a very profound divinatory tool is just disheartening. Anywho, I’ve rambled enough. I’ll stfu before my novella length comment turns into a mini novel. Love your videos, love your honesty.
I'm really intrigued to be honest. I have so far stayed away from totally AI generated art. It has to date fallen flat for me, but these images are pulling me in. I don't have an issue with the lack of faces, the colours are glorious. I'd like to find out more about their creative process, how, why etc. But so far, I'm probably going to buy it. Unless I discover something that doesn't sit with me ethically. I'm also a bit of a guide book geek. If it's well written and interesting, if it adds to my knowledge. I also feel that AI isn't going away, so we are going to, in the future, have to make decisions around what we will and won't support. Thanks for your opinions. Always enjoy your honest perspective. 😊 👍
I feel like I'm walking both paths. I have to do some forgiveness of living a life that I've been living for others, and also to have faith that my guides have got me and that I'm driven and ambitious in my goals. This was a very accurate reading/pick a pile. Would be happy to see more!
