Yes, the center channel can be quite a challenge on just about every receiver, I’ve owned a Denon, and a few own Q’s, the trick is to mess with the three main channels when it comes to distance, left center and right make a huge difference in everything when it comes to how clear your vocals and how separated the tracks are gonna be even in this surrounds. So this trick/method can be used on just about any receiver, find the closest distance you can estimate from your ear to your speakers, and then after that, Mess with the distance on the three main until you hear the vocal clarity that you are missing, trust me it works, you’ll hear a vocal/Center channel pop, and when you hear it, you will know it, it’s night and day. Ever since receivers have been affordable enough to put in your labor room back in the early 2000s people have struggled with the center channel For years, not everything‘s an exact science when it comes to this kind of stuff, but I think the develop the 5.1 years ago where there are certain ways that it works and doesn’t work, from what I remember some of the first 5.1 theaters were made back in the 80s And were super rare to find.
According to Nolan, the current IMAX cameras he uses tend to have poor sound isolation so all recorded sound tend to interfere and be unfiltered. And he's apparently not a fan of sound edits or ADRing. Sounds fishy to me although IMAX is working to improve this.
Hey Cav, Walmart Oppenheimer 4k Icon Edition is the worst packaging since Criterion Citizen Kane 4k 😖 Fingerprints & scratch discs from removing discs from cardboard pouch & also you don't know which disc you're pulling out from the cardboard pouch 🤔 Sadly I had to return my Walmart Oppenheimer 4k Icon Edition because of scratch discs & Good luck buddy 🤞🏿
I must be the only person on the planet who despises this movie. What a disjointed mess that's told (unfathomably) mostly through the Straus's character point of view.
I’m nervous to watch it, I have the steel book but I haven’t watched it yet because the expectations are so high because of the subject matter and the Director that I might be let down
That’s okay, you’re certainly not alone. There are plenty of people out there who felt the same way. Personally I fall under the camp of feeling like it’s one of Nolan’s best works. It’s all completely subjective so don’t let anyone try to discredit your opinion. :)
