From Season 7 "Not The Running Type" When Capt. Ernest Fisher learns that Milton Potter has been released from prison after serving his 15 year sentence, he tells his subordinates about this very strange case. Potter was a bookkeeper for a bank. He did his work well and was reliable. No one can quite believe that he was really the type to steal and he never tells anyone what happened to the money. After his release, Fisher visits him and incredibly, Potter tells him he's not the type to run and returns the stolen money! Only later, aboard a cruise ship does he explain to a fellow passenger that there is method to his apparent madness.

GENIUS! The ending just goes to show what can happen with knowledge, faith, time and patience. WOW! Alfred Hitchcock never ceases to amaze me! Goes to show his incredible and creative mind! How did he come up with this stuff!?!? LOVE IT!

Ha ha He must have hid the money in offshore accounts somehow, possibly using other people and their names . He couldn’t just stroll into any local or U.S. banks and deposit the money in his own name, because they would have found it.

Time and patience?? 13 years of waiting??! This is not patience, this is absurdity! Ummm being locked up in a prison and losing 13 years of your life at that age would not be worth it for me!

An awesome episode of AHP! Wish I'd have thought to do what Potter did in '47 But then I wasn't even born until a couple of decades later. What a great plot. Kudos to the writer! Loved the women playing shuttlecock 🏸 with shorts and high heels 👠

SPOILER. This is a movie of course with a scenario but it doesnt look very real. The old guy who plays the cool and the clever during the whole movie was no more than a thieve. No one would ever accept that much money by one employe just like that. In order to accept money they ask for a whole lot of info and papers etc. He should absolutely explain where the money comes from even if he made this deal with the Mafia. I went to exchange one little silver item and they asked me more than 30 questions on every aspect of my life. Even what color of undeware I have on.... This itinerary of the stolen money would be found 2 days after he got in jail. But as I said.... its just a movie.
