This is a product of GOOD PARENTING, coaches and teachers instilling something more important in life than a game, or a play, or a win. We need more of this in society.
The kid that allowed himself to be tackled has his head on straight. Congrats, Max! You are on your way to becoming the kind of person that we all want to be. Thanks to his coach- who could have yelled at him, other kids- who could have teased and bullied him, and his parents- who taught him that there is more to life than football (and I love football).

Props to the kid that let him tackle him but if you really wanted him to feel like a normal they should've let him get into a real play and feel what real athletes go through
A lot of parents should be commended. I saw many quality citizen moments in this video. Oh, also the coach's and all who try to instill that quality in our future.
I've worked with the Down syndrome population in the past, and the ones with high cognitive functioning are often self-aware that they are different from their peers, and this is a huge struggle for them because all they want is to have experiences that mainstream kids have. So something like this is very meaningful for both them and their families.
Yes he has bug but also ghe willingness to thow a game to leg someone with less disabilities feel like he's part of the time. Best of all,lets him feel good about himself(meani g the young man with a disability). God bless those players who mads it happen.

If you don’t understand that this story has absolutely nothing to do with a sport and everything to do with sportsmanship, generosity, kindness and humility on a 12 year old child’s part, then you’re lacking the mental and emotional maturity of the 13 year old who made another child with disabilities feel a sense of achievement.
