Pro athletes are other-worldly in their talent levels compared to anyone else. Eli is out there gaming those young bucks at 41. I always tell my boys when we go to low A minor league baseball games that the guys on that field are some of the best players you would ever see play if they were from your hometown.
@@mambaASI Dude, you think "most" D1 QBs are better than 41 year old two time super bowl winning, 5 time league mvp and 2 time super bowl mvp Eli Manning? He's only 41. That's not even that old. No way most D1 QBs are better. Dude out-QB'd Brady twice in the Super Bowl. Come on now.
Most people don’t realise the difference between a Professional Athlete and your everyday player. Their is a video of the worst NBA player by stats who is now retired 40+ years old and was creaming people in 1on1s Eli was probably only at 10% as well
Yep. He was like 40 and absolutely cooking dudes like 25-2 in 1on1. He was a career bench player only ever averaged like 2.5 pts a season as his best, but still dominated the best local guys.
I used to roleplay as peyton every sunday night playing madden. i would watch the colts game and play against the same team the colts played, and tried to run similar plays that they ran.
I'm late 30's miss those dudes and all that age bracket. Rivers, Brees, Roethlisberger, Luck, Romo (even if I wasn't a fan), the Mannings as you mentioned, and that's just on the QB side and I am missing some names. But it's whole different world out there in the game. Nostalgia is bittersweet. Cheers to the new generation!
There's gonna be another Manning soon. Gonna be a whole damn dynasty. Their nephew is breaking high school records. And their own sons are coming up through middle school. We gonna have a whole dang family taking over the NFL for the next 20 years
this shows the difference between pros and college. even retired and clearly not in top shape, not that he ever was, he still was unbelievable. so many people i know think college teams actually have a chance vs pros. they just dont know. we had a pro corner come to our semi pro team and talk football. it blows your mind just how much the game is muscle memory for them.
For real I’ve heard a ton of people saying Alabama and Georgia could blow out the 2008 lions 2017 browns and basically whoever was the worst team in the league for that season. They don’t understand the huge gap between NFL and D1
The NFL Champions used to play a college all star team every year from 1934 to 1976 (except for 1974 when the game was cancelled). Because this wasn't a single cohesive group of college players that been together before, but instead of group of All Americans from various squads, this is perhaps not the greatest simulation of what would happen. On top of that, this was an exhibition game, so you have to wonder how much the NFL teams were even trying, however the NFL won the last 12 of these games and 9 of those victories came by more than 7 points.
I played on a church league softball team years ago. There was a guy on our team who was a minor league professional pitcher between opportunities towards the end of his career. The guy of course played short stop for us. First time a ball is hit at him he casually picks it up and takes his time so much so we are all wanting to shout “ throw the ball!” Well he casually carries his arm back just as runner is a few steps from first….”ziiip!” Ball is seemingly instantaneously transported to the first baseman’s glove. The first baseman about crapped his pants. Runner out. You could hear the whole of both teams and the stands collectively gasp. Yah, pros are in a different class, even “washed up ones.”
Every single pro team would beat every single college team and it's not even about the skill players. It's the o-line and d-line. A given college line *might* have 2 guys who could feasibly make the NFL. Every NFL o/d line obviously has every guy of that caliber and higher. College teams would get wrecked in the trenches, their QBs would get sacked every other play.
Wow, I don’t know why, but when I see Eli on the screen he always looks so baby face and small but seeing him out there with those college players, he’s huge!!! Awesome video!
@@whothehedoyouthinkiam7662 They sure did. If you look Archie up on Wikipedia you'll find an Amazing story about their life away from football when he was in college. Archie was the 1st to find his father after hecommitted suicide in the summer of '69. He considered dropping outta college to help support his mom and sister but she insisted he go back. His future wife definitely helped him through that. He is so well thought of at Ole Mississippi that the campus speed limit is 18, the same as his retired jersey number.
We've known for years that the Manning bro's are great QB's....but who knew they would be so dang funny and entertaining in their new "off the field" roles? These two are so good for the sport. Great stuff.
“Chad will get it out there” 😂 referring to himself in the 3rd person was hilarious. That QB coach has a good eye. “I see something in him.” Yeah, 2 Super Bowl victories over Tom Brady 🐐
Awesome! I could not imagine a two time Super Bowl Champion spending an afternoon on the practice field with young men more than half his age. Good Job Eli, from a life-long G-Man fan!
Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite. Psalm 147:5 ✝🌅 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows. Luke 12:7 ✝🌅 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 ✝🌅
He really showed what some of those players were capable of. Colleges really should bring in some undercover alumni to help test the waters for these walk-ons. See what someone is capable of when they are working with someone of that caliber but without having the nerves of knowing who it is.
I'd feel bad for the coaches though. Kinda mean when they think they found somebody, and its like "Nope" its a former pro wearing a disguise. Also if anything like this happened again, people would instantly recognize it. Really a walk-on hitting every pass perfectly? No it wouldn't fly now.
Cute idea, but not exactly. You can see that's a facetime call and Paytons listed name in his phone is auto-populated in Eli's. I'm sure Payton's says. "Eli Manning" or whatever name Eli uses. We don't type those in. If we face timed, our names would show on each others phone.

@@DesstrikI don’t disagree but I got some news for you….99.9% of all pro athletes are crybabies in some form or another. If that’s the worst trait he has I can get over it for all the positivity he brings in contrast
His footwork in "the pocket" looked faster that his last couple of years playing. It must have been the hair and the mullet. 😄 Eli's arm did look pretty damn good. He was throwing 40 to 50 yards downfield without a problem. Also, I have to mention how much class Eli showed when he was benched in favor of Daniel Jones (on whom the jury is still out in his make or break season). After the way that he was treated by the 49ers, perhaps the same can be said about Jimmy Garappolo but look how that has worked out. Irony and karma can be real tricksters, can't they?
Seeing Eli do something like this is beyond hilarious. During his career l thought the dude had zero personality but he is actually pretty funny. I love the Manning cast
Eli always threw a beautiful deep ball. He was such a gunslinger in the earlier days and it was fun to watch. As a Giants fan that watched every throw, when he reared back to launch it downfield I knew we could win. He'll always be our guy.
@@wordragon I guess you missed the Mario Manningham pass and Helmet catch huh? :p He was very accurate. Most of his interceptions came from receivers popping the ball up or running wrong routes. As a class act, he never made excuses though.
This made me truly realize the size of the monsters in Pro Football. I always thought of him as "average" size. He looked huge compared to the other "tryouts". 6'4" ain't small by any means, but on the pro field, he didn't look anywhere near that size.
I know... and did you see the vid with Tebow and Eli? Tebow looked much larger but I thought Eli was average size... now that I see how big Eli is here, Tebow must be hugh?
Just remember that 2" and 15 pounds are usually added on in the sports world. That is why it was obvious that Johnny Manziel was going to fail in the NFL. He was even smaller than advertised at just 5'9" or 5'10". But, he didn't have the brains or attitude of a Doug Flutie.
This is awesome. Please do more skits like this..Eli referring to himself in the 3rs person is priceless..Even Peyton had to put his head down on that lol
Love the Manning brothers. They have great senses of humor, humility and never take themselves too seriously. Always a treat watching the brothers bring smiles👍
Just like his DirectTV commercial in lieu of Rob Lowe that they ran for like 10 quarterbacks; some better than others: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-c7YPAoTfrLU.html
That was awesome lol. The Manning brothers are really funny, and a good example of guys who can be around the game and be successful after football without coaching. Just find your lane
@@carlevans8825 yeah it's weird how Peyton took so long to become relaxed in front of a camera --- but now he's a really natural comic with good timing 😂
It took time for Peyton to become confident and comfortable with speaking in front of the camera. When he came here to UT, he had a speech impediment so he took speech therapy to help his annunciations. He’s so much better now. But I believe most Universities do that with their star athletes who are going to get media interviews.
@@qualicumjack3906 I didn't say that. I'm sure he could if he focused on it. I was only saying that you can stay close to the game WITHOUT being a coach. There are other options
@@jeremiahtalkssports1832 Yeah well really it would be more exceptional to stay close to the game and BE a coach. I don’t know of any top level players like Peyton who became coaches after. Usually they become broadcasters
Really good Video , this was hilarious, the Manning bros were excellent players hence Two Super Bowl trophies each. But they always had that sense of humor and really laid back style, I remember that ESPN commercial they did with their dad. I always like Eli as a player he is Hall of Fame eligible as far I’m concerned. It was cool that the Penn State couch allowed that.Put some fun in the practice/tryouts.
The Goff Juco transfer joke was what got me. He made a bunch of genuine prospects look into themselves, he was that good. If I was a college coach I would want an NFL player to come down and show my guys both where they are, and where they need to be. Great content.
It's like the pitcher for the dodgers trevor bauer. since he's not playing right now, he goes and pitches against college and high school players. Some people think it's wrong for a pro to go against a high school kid, but I think if a pro can play against or with someone at a lower level, it will do nothing but help that younger player.
"Chad Powers, you ain't seen nothing like him. He's not just good looking, he can throw it". OMG I had to watch this twice. I'll always remember the legend that is Chad Powers. Minchew has nothing on him.
A leader is someone on the battlefield not some guy or girl that plays a game to make a living and makes millions of dollars to do so. I like Eli but let’s be real. He has never served in the US armed forces like a lot of us and definitely not over 20 years like some of us. All facts boys and girls.
Jesus is the love of your life. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27 ✝🌅 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11 ✝🌅 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. John 12:48 ✝🌅
Just goes to show you how truly elite NFL QB’s are. Their skill automatically stands out in a room full of guys that think they can put a ball on a dime.
This video shows the true greatness of the manning bloodline...both overly AND underly serious. And if Powers doesn't go in the 1st round the system is truly BROKEN!! 💯🔥🤣
Absolutely Hilarious. I never really got much of a feel for Eli as he always seemed quiet, unlike Payton. He's got a pretty cool vibe though and you can tell the repour he has with his brother is really positive. Great vid.
Watching this as a 56 year old lifelong Cowboy fan, obviously I find myself enjoying and actually "gasp" liking Eli Manning...ugh, never thought my mouth would ever utter that phrase lol. Seriously, he is very likable and he and Peyton remind me of the competitions with my little brother. Sibling rivalry and the special bond with brothers never leaves you! Good stuff Eli!!
One of the greatest things about this era of pro football and media access is getting to see these guys in the next stages of their careers. I grew up watching the Cowboys play in the 70's at my grandparents house and many people who were seen as the enemy, like Terry Bradshaw and others Cowboys/Oilers verboten, you got to know outside of that rivalry. The Mannings are Louisiana boys at heart who went to college in the SEC and went on to play for teams in the NFL and win Super Bowls, with so far amazing careers post-football so far. God bless them.
Every time I see a Manning brother do something lighthearted and funny after the slaying the NFL for the last quarter century it reminds us: Archie and Olivia did parenting right.
I mean it's bad enough when the guy you're competing with can throw the ball like that, it's even worse when he finds out he didn't make the team and then literally peels his own face off. That Had to have been traumatic for those kids.
Nah those kids have grown up with Tik Tok, I.G and RU-vid, they anticipate viral moments, and Tik Toks like they breath air and their heart beats.. They half live in reality half live in virtual reality thats not even a diss Just a sign of the times.
There is an alternate universe where they filmed this and instead of releasing it they just continued to let Eli play as Chad for Penn. I want to live in this universe.
