super cool seems to work really well. now if only I could ever find mini shells in stock Id be very tempted to get one of these. for now 2 3/4 does the job
No doubt! They are hard to find. Our local Walmart has been getting them in and academy has had a selection but you do have to work to find em. 2&3/4 is just fine!
@@RawHawg I may order some online to try at some point. I run a 20 inch 590 that holds 8+1 but I only ever load 6 in tube so I can slug select top off, and so spring doesnt wear down as much or warp or deform shells left in tube over time. I do like the mini shells for an effective slug or buck option for home def, with less over penetration risk. will also be cool for the range to be able to shoot 15 before reloading vs 8 or 9 2&3/4. thanks for sharing your experience with opsol mini clip👍👍🙏

I finally found some Federal mini-shells at Wal-Mart just this past Friday. They were only #8s but I figured, What the Heck. Around 7.50 + tax a box of ten, bought two boxes. Tried them out in my Mossberg 88 Cruiser yesterday. Loaded ONE...Fired it. (Very little recoil). THEN, gun jammed tighter than a drum!. Took me about 5 minutes to get the shell casing out. Barrel very clean....When I finally got the shell casing out, it was all deformed.... Either my Maverick 88 Cruiser has an ejector problem OR the shells are POS...Atleast in birdshot.. I know where two boxes of Aguila Buckshot are BUT they're 20 BUX for TEN!. I'm NOT paying 2 bux a shell just to mitigate some recoil!. Until these short-shells are as common/become standardized as the 2 3/4's, the 19 I have left, along with the OPSOL adapter are going in the drawer....35 bux (including the adapter) WASTED ....AND NO, I'm not going to buy a single or double barrel "break action" just to shoot one at a time. AND, I'm taking off that ridiculous pistol grip and putting a regular stock back on my Maverick 88 too. It's a wrist breaker even on bird shot in 12 gauge making follow-up shots impossible.
Might have been a freak deal. I shot a whole bunch of the Anguillas and they ran flawless with the exception of one round. Just ordered one and 20 slugs , buckshots all sold out. I use a moss 500 for hd, and have aome cervical disc injuries at 51 years old. Hopeing these can take some sting out on my neck.
It can only cycle the mini shells. Easy to pop in and out though to change different shell sizes. Mossberg has the S series and I believe it allows for all without swapping anything . I did another full video of these. Check it out on the channel

With the adapter you can only shoot the mini shells while it’s in It’s real easy to take out and out back in though. The mossberg S series I believe you don’t need the adapter and it’s ready for all
Yes. Once you put it in you have to use the minis. It’s a quick swap though if you want or go back to the bigger shells. Mossberg now offers the S series that takes both I believe.
Sidenote....Mossberg decided to redo their 500 platform after we sold about 100,000 miniclips. Initially, at Shot Show 2017 (yes, 6 years ago) they rolled out the Shockwave with the recommendation of using our miniclip. In 2020, they informed us they were going to change their design.
They did with the S series I believe. Although your product is still relevant in a major way and I will continue to mention them due to the quality and functionality!
@@RawHawg Yes..we are aware of the design change. They had asked us to sign a non sue agreement. Not much point to that, they were just taking what we did and integrating it into the S. I need to test and S, because there are certain things I ran across in my own mini clip testing that I would like see how the S handles it. As a Star Trek fan (based on your vids), have you ever watched Galaxy Quest movie?
@@RawHawg The only people that win lawsuits are lawyers. Learned this in other businesses. It is always, always, a war of attrition. Of all things involved in our work, the one that I stuck to was the idea that minishells would revolutionize shotguns and who could use them. I was laughed at by some friends who were veterans, but not anymore. Ultimately, it's about having your family, not just you, defend the home. So the more ways to do it, the better for our families.

@@RawHawg I did not. Looks like the 590S Shockwave, which is what I have, does not need this adapter (according to Mossbergs 590S description/info). Bought this assuming it did. When I inserted it, the piece would come out slightly when racking the firearm (😅).
@@bucketofsteam9260 I see, learned the hard way but It happens. 590S series are good to go already. I’ve never shot one of the S models, let me know how it works and if you need to get rid of your opsol mini clip
It doesn't fit my 835 right. I either have to have it turned 90 or 180 degrees. At 90 its only taking up half the length of the chamber and at 180 degrees the ramp hangs down out of / below the chamber.
