Quick function video of the Opsol Miniclip adapter for the Mossberg 500. The adapter works very well and is 15 bucks on Amazon. The only real problem is finding the Aguila mini-shells for it.
I Emailed Aguila and asked about availability, they responded that they have increased capacity and will begin production in their TX plant, as well, in a few months. They foresee wider availability by Fall/Winter of this year. Very nice Customer Service people. Hope this helps.
454pakr yeah, they are hard to find, not sure why. If you check Natchez shooters supply, they have a different brand of 1 3/4 shells, but there like 2 bucks a shell, screw that. Lol
PedroPablo this one won't fall out either, at least it hasn't in my experience. I see the hollister one is a couple dollars cheaper though, it does offer that I guess. Nice to see other solutions for this, I wasn't aware anyone else made an adapter like this, thanks for sharing.
I guess I got lucky. I started searching and ordered some before I even got the adapter. I used ammoseek.com to find some vendors. I don't see anyone with any in stock now. The only 1 3/4 shells I"m seeing are at natchezss.com and they are like 2 bucks a shell. That's just too much. Aguila is missing a big opportunity here if they don't get these in stock at a decent price. With the new shockwave from mossberg, these shells with the adapter would work great. It could comfortably be shot one handed I think. I plan to test that theory once I get that one out to the range.
I couldn't agree more. I wanted them for my short barreled 500. I have been drooling over the Shockwave for a few months. I think it should ship with the mini shell adapter. The Aguila minishells and Opsol adapter make the Shockwave a truly formidable home defense option. Plus it's just cool as hell.
