Very clear and concise instruction of a trash system. Motorized APU or constant truck engine idle is the only thing that works sufficiently to stay cool in hot weather. Battery APU is ok if it's "warm", if it's "hot", it is no longer sufficient. Opti-Idle is the cheap way of trying to meet state idling mandates and save fuel. It's a FU to the driver.
I’ve had it for a year now it sucks when the engine starts and stops at 9k rpm once or twice an hour I get so aggravated I just turn it off and roll the windows down after dark
Agreed.. I drive for CR you know who and interior comfort mode isn’t selectable in the ‘24 Cascadia they put me in and all they complain about is using the EPU to reduce idle time.. I drive in the Central Valley and SoCal on a dedicated at night and have to sleep during the day.. All the auxiliary “cooler” does is reheat the cab once you put it in Optimized Idle and it shuts off 🙃
Thanks man, hopefully i can keep the power on. I hate when everything shuts down and nothing is charging or the tv wont work. I hope this works and thanks for the quick guide.
I'm having a problem. It's 37F outside and with optimize idle on all vents blow freezing cold air constantly despite both the dash and bunk temp knobs set to max heat. If I have the bunk heater on it automatically turns off when enabling opti idle and blows cold air. So far it's looking to be worthless for me with it constantly trying to freeze me to death
