Good job! I've never gone this in-depth but I agree with your comments near the end where you say you're only after a level of accuracy that's sufficient for your purpose. Otherwise, "precision shooting"/chasing tiny groups can cause rapid hair loss...because you'll be pulling it out in bunches:).

I’ve seen the amount of effort that people put into squeezing more than 1 MOA out of a load and I just don’t have time or the desire to get that deep into it. Maybe when I’m retired.

OCW has nothing to do with velocity nodes. Leave the Chronograph at home when doing a legit OCW test method. You need to be focused on perfect aiming and marksmanship, NOT on recording velocities.

really like the experiment, would it be possible to have a temp laser set up to perform a before/after each shot to give you another constant instead of an unknown variable?

You could, but the general idea is that this better simulates sustained fire so letting the barrel natural heat up a bit during a given string of fire is going to give you a more natural result.
