As a Daisy-main, I truely appreciate these Tutorials! Gotta nail those DJCFF/JCFFs first before even THINKING do start combos with those! Also, here, have my sub!^^
Of all the characters I lab, Peach is by far the most difficult. Don't worry if you can't get the super big combos right away, because even something like dtilt -> nair -> grab -> down throw -> back air does plenty of damage.
Yo, this video is really cool. It's cool to see that someone else came to the EXACT same conclusions. (I haven't played smash in like 2 years, just coming back now a little bit, but I used to practice a little bit with the training arduino) It would be really cool if there was a followup video on optimizing combos with platforms/running out of stage, because in actual matches, that ends up ending combos way more often than not unless you're on kalos/fd
Really great content! I’ve mained peach for the majority of ultimate’s lifespan, and I can safely say you do an excellent job explaining peach related subjects. You’ve got good knowledge and well made videos, keep at it and I know your channel will grow! Good luck
Advice on dtilt to nair? Been practicing it but some reason a dair comes out after my dtilt even though I’m not holding the stick down anymore 😭 my inputs are accurate because it comes out fine half speed in training mode but doesn’t translate in real speed. Any help is awesome, thanks!
Hmmm, for the 1st combo where you dtilt -> gf nair -> dtilt, when I dashforward after i gf, I dash past my opponents like SUPER quickly, almost like a glitch, any idea why? Or sometime I'll just full hop completely
Practice practice practice. Do it over and over again until it feels natural. There's also nothing wrong with joycons, as they are my preferred controller.
Good question! You can see I did a lot of combos on snake, yoshi, and duck hunt. These are good characters to practice on, because they have frame-1 options they can buffer. If you set the cpu to control, and find a way to buffer the cpu yoshi's armored jump or snakes grenade with another controller/joycon, you will know exactly when the opponent is free from hitstun. Double jump is also a frame-1 option for every character. What I did was hold one joycon in my mouth and bite the X button when I started a combo. I'm sure there are better ways to do this, but that is what I came up with.
In order to only make the first hit of up air 1 connect, you have to land on the ground before the second hit comes out. This is usually done with a ground floor of JCFF.
That's pretty hard. You can set the CPU shuffling to max to get random SDI, which is some movement from the bot, but not DI. You can also set the CPU to control and find a way to hold the joystick in a certain direction on another controller. Or, just play online and do your best to try out the combos in the lag.
If you are trying to do this, make sure you haven’t used your float when or before you dair. You need to still have float to jcff. That’s typically the issue people have, but if you are still running into trouble it is due to timing.
@@Ralts1 oh i see, so you need to short hop dair and then jcff? I was also having trouble with the SHJCFF where you pick up a turnip. Im either air dodging or dodging back down.
@@jacobderin1402 yes short hop dair -> DJCFF. For SHJCFF to pick up an item, press grab and jump at the same time. This gives you a short hop a catch. Make sure you can do that by itself. Then you can continue holding whichever button you used to jump, and do the JCFF input.
JCFF, or jump cancel fast-fall is an input you can do to instantly cancel peach's vertical momentum into a fast-fall with float. It is done by holding a jump button in the air, flicking down on the control stick, and releasing the jump button 2 frames later.
