It does have good designs, but the greater transformers community should realize that just because it looks like g1 does not make it the best.

Coming from me personally I enjoy reboots of classic movies or TV shows that actually give accurate design, I’m not putting it in the direction that the bayverse designs are bad or what not, but that to me The designs gave a accurate, “If a franchise is gonna have a reboot, get it right” related content. Coming from me, anything anyone else says I don’t criticize or dislike, Opinions are opinions & I hope any comment viewers see my reply understandable.

The transformers animated Optimus seemed a little more streamlined than most because they were trying to also mix in the bayverse form in with the G1 form. likeleaderoftheautobots1985 said it looks like it can't transform, and at the same time it's meant for nostalgia sake. Personally, they were able to make it work for the toy, so I have no problem with it except one thing : Make him use his mask more often and give all of the autobots better weapons than just melee weapons that was my only problem

Agreed. G1 optimus is okay but people like him largely due to nostalgia. Tfp optimus is actually perfect though. I'm glad I grew up with tfp rather than g1

He is not only a leader but also a father to the Autobots. He knows when to relax and when to be serious. He even jokes and plays basketball together with his Autobots. That was why so many people cried when he died. He is a father figure to millions of fans. The way he trash-talks Megatron and gets on his nerves is also fun and memorable. I didn't grow up with G1. I grew up with Beast Wars and Unicron Trilogy, and just got the chance to watch G1 cartoon recently but G1 left a way better impression on me than TFP.

He is just a boring speech giving machine.

Other than beast wars RID was my introduction to transformers so I loved it

Love knight Optimus design

Especially that Unique Toys made these figures possible with Deadlock, Optimus Prime, Megatron, and now Galvatron. These figures don't look like they transform into vehicles and robot mode. No robot syndrome in vehicle mode and no vehicle parts in robot mode

Design was dope but it doesn't make up for the trash ass films it's associated with

I think it was just the people who grew up with the 80s designs that were pissed, and rightfully so, most of the designs for everyone aside from Bee and Optimus were either meh or unrecognizable, but overtime they came to terms with it.

Yeah what is the name of that episode where Optimus Prime yells in Transformers Prime, I still haven't quite been able to find that episode anywhere especially since TFP was removed off of Netflix lol.

Cybertron Megs’ color scheme was all over the place, but the model and silhouette were great. Plus the color scheme he had as Galvatron was fantastic.

I much prefer WFC over FOC designs of both Optimus and Megatron. They looked cooler before they turned them into some chubby old bots. They're obviously old, but if I recall correctly, age doesn't affect bots. I couldn't take these two seriously when they revealed their new designs in the trailer, and then the way they ran toward each other with so much weight, man, I couldn't stop laughing.

His chin is to big and it looks like he has gloves on. If I were to think of Optimus this would not be the first thing to think of
