I put these on my board just for regular cruising and they are great. I do have a few hills in my area and these are a little scary as the pick up too much speed for my comfort xD

Did you have issues getting the back sprocket on enough so you could put the rear nut on? There’s very little room enough for the back nut to screw on all the way, even though it looks like I have the drive sprocket on all the way?? Any suggestions? Please help! Thank you!! Lou

Yes you can, but there is still the remote chance of wheelbite. Tighten your trucks accordingly and you should be all good!

Will I get mean wheel bite with these if I put them on a Cantellated Tesseract with 180mm 43° Paris Savants? Would I need a riser pad?

Richard Martinez yeah you’re gonna need bushing change and a 1/4 riser pad to use them on that setup.

Hi Loaded, I in the UK and the only decent roads are quite rough. can't decide between the orange Kegals and the orange in heats. i am looking for a wheel that can dampen vibration on the road well, but also drift at speeds that aren't ridiculously fast. what would you recommend? Cheers!

We would suggest the Orange In Heats for what you are describing. They have a softer roll than the Kegels and yet will allow you to slide at just about any speeds predictably. Kegels would be better for faster courses, but are much grippier than the In Heats, especially on initiation into slides.

I can definitely see why they don't sell an 86a yellow kegel, it would be too fast since it's such a big wheel in diameter. It's like those really huge wheels by abec 11, they don't put the duro high because it would be too fast to control on a race course.

That is exactly correct. We tried out some Yellow Kegels, and they were indeed a bit faster, but the lack of grip that the wheel offered made it rather unsettling for anything besides pushing and light carving.

Would these work on the Poke with Carver trucks? I'm looking for something bigger than the 70mm 4Presidents that came with it.

Totally can work! At slow speeds, you might run into some wheelbite, but at your average cruising speeds, there shouldn't be a problem. The ride height will be really high though. In Heats may be a better overall choice if youre looking for a slightly larger wheel than the typical 70mm

Hey Loaded/Orangatang! I was wondering if I should by the kegel? I love going fast but I'm a beginner so I'm afraid to loose grip while turning. And what trucks should I buy for downhill?? I hate speedwobble!

you should get rogue casts, and if you really like going super fast go for the kegel or anything with a tough square lip. But often with most wheels you don't loose grip unless you're doing runs like these guys.

D3LTA_W0LF they aren’t a sliding wheel I ride stimulus 86 a for freestyle in 70 mm and they are great I slide with durians 84 a and they are nice because of the bigger diameter

If you want a freestyle board go for a 70mm 80-86 a freeride wheel make sure they are rounded and have a stone finish so they are pre broken in 🙏🏼

You can even get away with 65 mm on a free ride slide/ freestyle setup

I'm currently riding a Rayne Demonseed with 50 deg. caliber II's, and I am interested in buying Kegels. However the only thing preventing me from buying these marvelous wheels is my fear of wheel bite. Soo before I spend $60 on wheels that can either put a damper on my day or make me fly down hills faster than a bat out of hell, my question here is will I get wheel bite?

Yea probably but that's why there's risers. but in my opinion if you are writing 50° trucks you are probably not going fast enough for the kegel to shine.
