I bought a new bike! I found this on the Buy and Sell a few months ago, struck a deal and had it delivered to Mum's house.
I picked it up last week while home in the UK, we took it for a short shakedown in some Welsh Dust.
First impressions were really positive, and it's going to get a lot better: the suspension is getting the ultimate 3-way treatment via NSR, RaceOnly and J-Tech. Plus, I have some interesting new parts on the way to tune this bike to its maximum potential!

I've always liked the feel of the single pivots nice one for going down the non fashionable route.

I did the same "Downduro" experiment with my Demo and it totally works. Will do it my new bike but with better parts. I really hope bike companies stop limiting dh bikes (too slack st angle, no dropper option, I wouldnt mind bottle cage mounts, etc...) and embrace these hybrid bikes and let the user decide what parts they run. Nice video as always.

I agree, a pure DH bike doesn't make sense any more except for pure DH racing. For anything else you might as well have a dropper and a wider cassette. I didn't ride my Supreme for months for this reason, otherwise I would be riding it regularly! If it had a dropper (and suitable seat angle) and wider range I could pedal it up. Now I have to wait for the parks to open, spend €65 per day in a sweaty shuttle van, or push up. Of course, I could push up, but why would I when I have similar bikes I can just crank up the hill?!

nope. you just need to ride an 180mm Enduro bike and get better at riding. bike parks are the new hotness in MTBing. and all downhill bikes work there. and they are selling more DH bikes than ever before. what you really need is more money so you can have more than one bike. Magically, your views would change.@@astonmtb2428

So I discovered the NSR thanks to your site, ordered a kit and must admit they are good. What's sad is that RS damping is sooo bad out of the factory :/ Especially the RS SDL Coil is a coil shock optimised for uphill, how have they got this idea is beyond me.

Keen to here your thoughts on the single pivot? Always thought they looked a bit wooden when seeing them being ridden. Suppose a proper tune can work wonders on any bike.

I had a Stage 6 and it was a brilliant bike . Super Fun keeping up with DH bikes or in some cases quicker . On proper DH tracks at Revs , Llangollen etc and the French Italian Alps . Brilliant bike but Orange needs to make tougher bikes ...mine cracked at the Head tube and a few other issues .

@@daveandmerlin May I ask which year's model this was? I've heard rumours of them snapping from 2017-18 era, but hopefully they've touched on that issue? Eyeballing a used stage 6 frame as we speak. cheers

@@laurynasjagelo5075 mine was the MK1 model . Great bike but cracked at the Head tube and ovalised . Also the normal issue of the tyre hitting the seatube on bottom out .
