If you wanna spend $120 for a soft clipper, by all means, but you can get that same result with fruity soft clipper and a saturater and it doesn't cost you anything. A little more effort required, but same result and saved $120.
That would require you to own FL lol for the people that like that sound but don't want to switch DAW's this is a good solution albeit on the pricy side.
My opinion: standardclip sounds just like gold and orange as you tweak the settings AND it's only $25. So much flexibility with that one and it's an industry standard. Also, would be great if you put a comparison of all of them at the end.
Fruty soft clipper still rules, I've been watching a lot of videos after downloading orange demo and it's not something you need when you use fl studio, it was created for people that use pro tools and other daws, despite the fact it's over price.
Nice, this is a nice time to ask, what is the difference between clipping your drums, vs compressing them in a mix. If the two are playing simultaneously which is the best option
compression can also be used to boost unheard parts of samples and drums, and make them more loud. parallel compression, and normal compression with certain settings.
To my ears, T-Racks Classic Clipper seemed to blow all the others out of the water in your demonstration here. Like far and above that sounded the best to me. Orange clipper didn't impress me at all here and hasn't impressed me in any of the videos I've seen so far. It's over-hyped imho.
it certainly had a unique tone, but it killed the low end thump if you're listening with sub speakers. It's a great clipper, but it's known for some roll off.
On some sounds, I think compression helps. No set rule but sound designed sounds are usually what they should end up sounding like - no need for processing.
Exactly 😂 he wasn’t even using it right he didn’t even have fruity clipper actually clipping. that bitch was wide open. Didnt even hard or soft clip it was just literally open.
