It's actually to do with King William defeating King James in order to stop King James taking the British Crown due to the fact his Uncle Louis of France was butchering Protestants for the very fact of their being. It was to prevent that same thing happening here.
That's blatantly not correct. James did not have brirish troops he landed in ireland with thousands of FRENCH troops that were loaned to him by louis the fourteenth of France. And the rest of the army he had were Irish.

They do on the 12th in N Ireland they come from all over the world. I thought the guys playing the bagpipes were Scots but they had Liverpool on there drum.
