One of the best, and to the point reviews of the RISE I've seen. I'm' waiting on an M-LTD myself,, ordered in October 2020. So glad that you say the motor clatter issue appears to have been resolved. I would love to burn up the trails with you. Your obviously a kick-ass rider! Your camera bud was having a time keeping close. LOL
Thanks so much Jimmy, that’s lovely to hear! I’m jealous you have one on order, you’ll have a ball! The camera man is well able normally, think I caught him on the hop that day! 🤣
Hi I’ve just got one and sorry to say the rattle bug still lies within ! It’s not a biggie for me but some people might get annoyed. That aside it’s a classy bike and you should def like it - the motor is very smooth and very discrete within the carbon frame just dont focus on the rattle !👍
What great review ! A breath of fresh air ! That's the type of review that mountain bikers need ! Well put together, loads of info, enjoyable footage ! I thought an excellent blend !!! Makes for a very refreshing change ! You should work as an Ambassador !! You can see your passion ! 👌🚵⛄
Just released unboxing of the commencal meta power sx e bike and am currently working on footage for the Specialized Kenevo and the Specialized Turbo Levo SL!!
Nice review, first I see where someone actualy weights the bike. The M Team is mostly advertised at 17.5 kg without pedals , with 36 Fox and bigger tires, You use heavy pedals then :-) to come to 19.4 kg.
It comes with a Maxxis Rekon on the front as far as I know where this bike had a DHF which would be heavier but more grip of course. There was a good bit of tubeless fluid too, the pedals were average weight alright! 😄
Thanks a mill, I’m glad you enjoyed the review! Yeah with this I had to peddle a bit more than say on the wild FS which had a bigger battery but it was still very easy going up the hill even the steep ones!
If you only had enough money to buy one bike and live in an area 500-1000 meters of climbing is pretty typical, would you buy this bike? I am really torn about giving in to an e-bike.
I would definitely recommend an e bike and this one is pretty awesome alright but I’m not sure yet it would be my favourite! There’s still time to test ride others fingers crossed!
Wexford originally but I live in Dublin now for a good few years. I would highly recommend it! We did a lot of biking, three hours constantly going and I still had battery left but I can’t tell you how many KMs, other than it felt like a lot! I’m 54kgs so that would have meant I’d get longer out of it than the average male but I still don’t think it would be an issue..
I got to test ride the Wild FS as well so I’ll be releasing a video about it. Completely different bikes but I loved both. You’ll have to wait to the video to see which I preferred! 🤣
Great video! I want to customize my own Orbea Rise one day. All white. The only thing holding me back on MTB ebikes is maintenance after the warranty is over. If the motor or other electronic part breaks down, how long will Orbea support the bike? If i'm going to spend 7-9k usd on an ebike, I would hope to have aftermarket options to repair the bike like for my used car, which costs about the same as this bike haha
Lovely bike, I’ve ordered the Rise M10 and counting down the days until delivery next month ! Do you find the power sufficient as I’m coming from the previous full power Shimano E8000 ?
I rode the wild fs which has a Bosch CX Generation 4 which would be similar I presume to the E8000 and it was definitely more powerful than the RS going up the hills but the only difference was the speed really when it came down to it as I felt no more tired in the Rise than the Wild and I did the same amount of biking both days. Good luck with it, I hope you love it!!
Finally got my M10, lovely bike. I put on a proper rear boot and a 200mm front rotor and it’s good to go. My XL is coming out with pedals at 18.8kg surprised yours was over 19kg ! The RS on boost is actually reasonably powerful sort of Trail + compared with a FF bike as the lower mass still makes it quite frisky power wise and of course far less truck like In terms if chassis feel. Just miss the Shimano controller...
The 16,5 kg that Orbea mentions is for the top spec model with a lighter suspension, 2 piston brakes, narrower bars, lighter tires, narrower rims and shorter droper post for a size medium without pedals. What you're seeing here is the beefer, more enduro like spec.
You have to use an app which I didn’t have installed on my phone but we did about 20km and there was still battery left. I’m 54 kg so that would obviously affect the range too.
We were riding for three hours constantly and I still had battery left. I didn’t keep track of the KMs we did but it felt like a lot! I weight about 54 kgs so that might have something to do with it too. So glad you liked the vid and the accent! 😁
@@CatMTBPilot Awesome! I've ordered myself a coal blue Rise too! Won't come until July though. Hopefully they'll boost production at some point and it'll come earlier. Also, I love Ireland. My mother was born in Dublin. I have lots of relatives there and have visited a bunch. I live in Canada now but visited Galway in 2019. Beautiful place. My favourite town is Killarney so far. Looking forward to going back after the pandemic sometime.
Ah you lucky thing living in Canada! Hopefully we will all be able to get back to travelling soon. 🤞And I hope that your Rise arrives earlier, you’re going to love it!!
So I’m just under 5 ft 9 with I think 32leg I think L would be fine for me. What do you think which is a nicest colour the blue looks the most out there
Yeah I think you're right. The blue is class looking, but if I was buying one I would probably use the MYO customisation like I did on my Orbea Rallon cause I do love a bit of colour!
What colour would you choose ? There was a black gloss m10 avail with dark silver decals, personally I think that was too bland and dark ,at least they should have added brighter decals on it, but they went for the stealth look I think , but for Orbea rise myo custom paint you mentioned, you looking next year now for one, I think the blue is nice enough
I think if I was to be able to afford an e bike my heart is now set on the Specialized Kenevo after getting to test ride it and the colours are quite boring on that in comparison to the Orbea! But either way I will have to wait a while to save the money! 🤣
