i'm a 19 year old guy and obsessed with OMD. better than all the modern crap. these guys had imagination and everything to make decent music. i don't understand why OMD anrn't played often on radio stations. they are too good. OMD forever
OMD always had an awkwardness about them that made mainstream media recoil a bit, whether it was writing songs with no choruses, or covering subjects like Hiroshima and genetic engineering.
Love 80s music, love OMD and enjoyed that era in entertainment in general. The best in music, we danced to it, listened to it with friends and just enjoyed life. No BS, no anything, but just meeting people, having a great time and dancing, a lot of great dancing to the best music that ever existed. Thank you for that and for great memories.
@@humanchannel7825 In the video sure, but when a band record something with an audience they play the song live multiple time and the footage is edited after for the official clip. What you hear has nothing to do with what the people who were at the video taping did.

Saw Omd During their Pacific Age tour way back in 1986 at London's Hammersmith Odeon brilliant show as Andy McClusky had so much energy dancing on stage at the time
Just had the pleasure of seeing them at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh…First time in 30 years they have been back in Edinburgh and they were absolutely brilliant. 10/10 as always.
The Pacific Age Album is so underrated ...it's crazy...my first OMD record that I bought when I was 14 years old and I was totally blown away by their music....

esta canción de OMD es tan buena, la bailé tanto en los ochentas , que nostalgia.... me trae gratos recuerdos de las fiestas con amigos que gustaban de este estilo musical y ese look propio de nuestra epoca.
The best song for me for all times from OMD .. I get goosebumps after another * g * The vocals from Andy are terrific ;-) The last twenty seconds of the song are so terrific, in terms of singing and sound ... insane ;-) The funny thing is, OMD likes my mother too ... she is 71 ;-)
Andy Mc Clusky Angelic Voice ,Paul Humprey Angelic Hand perfect combination .......Malcolm Holmes very good in Beat......and also Martin Cupper good hand also.....perfect group OMD.]
FANTASTIC!!! Thanks for posting this! I bought this ALBUM as well as 4 other O.M.D. albums. I was in high school at the time when this came out. I was into O.M.D., The Cure, Talking Heads, Depeche Mode. However, I also liked Motley Crue , GnR, Def Leppard, Simple Minds, Tears For Fears... HEY...what a time to be in high school! Anyway, I've reconnected with some high school friends thanks to MySpace and then Facebook who thank me for turning them on to O.M.D. Thanks again OMDVEVO for posting just one of MANY of their great songs!!!
Absolutamente. Un tema quintaesencialmente ochentero... aunque para mi, el himno de los 80's sigue siendo "Don't You (Forget About Me)", de Simple Minds.
On this day in 1987 {January 3rd} OMD (Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark) performed "We Love You" on the ABC-TV Saturday-afternoon program, 'American Bandstand'... Eight weeks later it would peaked at #16 {for 1 week} on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play chart... It reached #54 on the United Kingdom's Singles chart... Between 1980 and 1996 the British band had twenty nine records on the U.K. Singles chart, seven made the Top 10 with their two biggest hits both peaking at #3, "Souvenir" in 1981 and "Sailing On The Seven Seas" in 1991... On the U.S.A.'s Billboard's Top 100 they had five charted records between 1985 and 1989...
Nothing beats the 80's, and here's just a sample,when l think of OMD,I always think of If you leave,but this us my favourite,too many bands to mention...Duran Duran,Simple Minds,Pseudo Echo,Icehouse,Inxs,Billy Idol,The Stranglers,Depeche Mode......just to mention a Few!
I only knew of their song "If you leave". But for many years I only thought the song was called "I touch you once I touch you twice"(I was only 5 when I first heard that song). I just discovered this song "We love you" more recently by accident from a torrent I downloaded. It's amazing how the wealth of information from the internet makes that possible, when being able to tape off the radio was my only option for what seemed like a long time (until I discovered Kazaa in 2001 and then *whamo* RU-vid in 2006)
Alright.. we all gonna be accompanying the lyrics below. We've got to get a message to the stars above Like radios in heaven hearing just enough And every single teardrop along the way We put them in our pockets for a rainy day But here we are in trouble Like we always are Just praying for a miracle And reaching for stars We love you Would die for you We need you Every day We got to get a message to the promised land Like semaphores in motion so they'll understand But every single vision that we saw today We didn't quite believe it in the usual way Yet here we are in heaven Who could want for more? We always end up getting what we're asking for We love you Would die for you We need you Every day Oh, we love you Wouldn't leave you We miss you Far away It's just another promise like we've heard before We're never really knowing what we're fighting for We love you Would die for you We need you Every day Oh, we love you Wouldn't leave you We miss you Far away Oh, we love you Wouldn't leave you We need you Every day
