This is probably my 2nd favorite album, been listening to them for years and more content is always amazing. Conquest and dread lord are my favorites. Good review!
Just giving you guys a quick shout out. I finally subscribed to your channel since you cover so many bands I listen to. Usually I preorder everything but somehow the new Axel Rudi Pell slipped past me until you posted the interview with him, so it was the least that I could do (disappointing album-- haha). Anyway, great review here and I'm looking forward to hearing it. The one thing about Orden Ogan is thematically, every album is different soundscape-wise but it is all rooted in the OO sound. I didn't dislike Final Days as you did-- ultimately after I spin an album half a dozen times, I throw the keepers into my MP3 catalog and let them roll independently. When you aren't listening to these albums as a whole, Final Days blends in just as well with Easton Hope. The variety from album 1 to album 8 keeps their discography fresh though, in terms of the soundscapes they create. Sorry for the rant but I do not log in to comment much but keep up the great work and I appreciate your output. Also, props for the Ad Infinitum shirt. I helped crowdfund that first record. Melissa is awesome and deserves all the kudos coming to her. \m/
Some people say Orden Ogan is less a power metal band it’s more a kind of „Stadium“ Metal Band. I agree in this point cause they are significantly different to a regular power metal band. For example their Choruses are massive and also their style is more folk style (in the early records) but more and more massive in the later records. What’s your opinion about that point?
