this game was REALLY cool back when it came out, you could explore hogwarts and free roam, provoke students into duels lmao, and then play as dumbledore vs voldermort at one point. and then it became call of duty

I found spellcasting pretty easy on the Ps2 version, I quickly memorised the spells too :)

The graphics were fine, if not great, and the spells were really unimportant,since you only really need to know Stupify and Wingardium Leviosa. The only other spells you ever use, Accio and Deposo(?) is just jerking the joystick at whatever you need.

No not that mobile crap haha. This HP game got leaked a few weeks ago and it supposedly going to be released on consoles and PC. It's not an online game, and is supposed to have a linear narrative. All you do is run long distances back and forth and back and forth in this game. Doing horrible side quests to recruit people into your army like repairing broken plates. Doing awkward motions with your thumbstick to do boring spells like lighting torches throughout the castle just you can get blue balls to talk to Bitch Myrtle. It's so dull and uninspired.

It's possible to disable the mouse and play with just the keyboard. I had a good time with Keyboard B, Mouse Gestures Off. Moving Harry with Arrow Keys, and spell casting with WASD.

I absolutely LOVED this game. The open world style, having to learn the spell 'shapes' felt very immersive, as if you actually had to learn the spell, rather than just switching spells (albeit glitchy), the NPC and environment interactions, such as with the paintings and walls, and all the unlockables in that room

This is so nostalgic! I remember playing this game for so many hours in a row. For me, comparing with the other HP games, the old ones and also the new ones, Order of the Phoenix is by far the best. You can really feel you are into the HP world, mainly with the castle being so realistic, its so vivid, the variety of spells and so many ways to use them. This games is perfect

Anyone else remember, when reading book 5 as a kid, how terrifying his detention with Umbridge was? Maybe it was just me, but I feel like the description of the pain of that writing on his hand was so graphic and it just kinda stuck in my memory. And then the game just glosses over it and turns it into a find-the-book game.

3:15 this was one of the first harry potter games I played (on the wii though) and I remember how annoying trying to save and load save files were lmao. Yoooo, I remember this game came with an actual irl mauraders map back in the day. I used to spread it out in my lap while I played so I could navigate the massive open world castle without having to pop into the in-game menu every few seconds, that shit was sooo dope! Wish huge open world games still had that to be fair
