Baba would have pleaded with Ekweremadu all the years he was in National Assembly to ensure our hospitals are well equipped rather than soliciting for release. EKWEREMADU case is a good lesson for all Nigerian politicians who feel they got nothing to lose. And divert money meant for development into their private pockets.

a plea for clemency, is a plea for mercy. While not meaning to take any sides here, please be reminded that anyone can plead for mercy.... and sometimes, mercy can prevail over judgement

The Nigerian elite should stopped interfering on judicial matters Obasanjo letter to the UK court further show why Nigeria is in mess today because some people have the mindset that they above the law therefore can do whatever that pleases them.

Dura lex sed lex : Baba, the law is the law. No one should be above the law. The main reason why our Nigeria is not moving in the right direction is because our justice system is not functioning. Period!

See let's get one thing here.,in situations like this let's learn to be our brother's keeper.Governments in civilised countries would do everything possible to secure the release of their own citizens going through one ordeal or the other in a foreign land..I'm not saying that what the former senate president did is right but Nigerians should learn to first shield their own from foreign torture, get them home safe and cause them to face the law ahome.this is what I expected the FG of Nigeria to have done earlier instead of allowing our own go through unbearable nightmares in another man's land.he just tried to save his daughter,is not as if he wanted the death of the young man involved...it could have happened to anyone.stop throwing stones!!
