Organize A Small Laundry Room Closet 

I love the 'activity mat' idea. Living in a small flat in the city, the 'bed' becomes the sitting area. So the idea of folding on the bed can be problematic for some and a 'table' is not always space-available, depending on where you live. Thanks for sharing! This provided some great ideas!

I have the same exact laundry closet. No storage, stackable w/d. I never thought of putting shelving on the door! Also love the ideas of the hanging trash bag, and magnetic pocket-stuff catcher.

Haha... I love that you have a magnetic organizer for your coins. I actually have one attached to my W/D (from DT) for my dryer lint. It actually holds a lot of lint, but encourages me not to let it sit in there too long. Thanks for another great video!

Great ideas, especially the folding bag! I live in a split foyer and I have to lug my laundry up 2 flights of stairs to fold and put away. That bag will be perfect for me. I am slowly organizing my home with the help from your videos!

Thanks for well thought out ideas and excellent video. I use a timer to get shirts/blouses/slacks out of dryer immediately, on to a hanger to finger press or spritz of starch and hung on an over the door jacket hanger to spread the weight. Socks, undies, towels folded on flat surface of washer. Bag holder for rags/micro cloths - terrific!

The question begs to be asked, why fold laundry on the floor with or without a bag underneath them? Isn't the top of the bed the place to fold clean laundry?

If I could only get my family to be as organized as you!!! I don't have the laundry room issues you do, but I wish I did - having a folding area just ads space for crap to be stacked and forgotten and collect dust for years. Love he dryer sheet cleaning idea.

I made a print out of the wash/dry icons and put it in a sheet protector and taped it to my cabinet by my washer. On the other side, I printed out a sheet of how to get rid of common stains. Stays dry because of the sheet protector and easy to reference/use!

I want to get organized now!

This video was very helpful. I also liked that you showed the iPhone app which I think is a great idea as well, I'm always doing other stuff while I'm doing laundry and I forget all the time because my washer and dryer don't have timer or buzzer either..

I fold my clothes on my bedroom on my bed. The big space you just walked into looked like a pretty good spot to create a folding area since you already use it for that purpose so I'm kind of scratching my head at this one.

U have some good ideas that I well use. Forget laundry in washer or dryer not n my house we have three kids that play 7 sports and my husband work out doors I doing laundry 4 to 5 days a week Thaks for sharing

I've been using my regular timer on my phone, like you I need to be reminded or I forget - but glad there's an app for that, so in case I need the timer for something else I will be able to do both - and when it goes off I will know why! I actually sent a load of laundry to hang on my balcony outside since the dryer didn't seem to do it's job, I live in southern california btw :) it took about two hours but the clothes felt so fresh!

loved the magnet basket for the coins & 'pocket junk'! might actually remind me to check to the pockets! ...also the bag for the lint. I just let the laundry pile up on my bed & take forever to hang/fold... actually i just end up piling it onto a chair after that!... so i will borrow your idea but just use a big sheet to carry it over & do the folding in the living room while i watch tv :)

Great video. I espeically love the folding mat!!! Lint gets everywhere if you fold on the bed. I wonder if you could DIY a mat like that. Now the wheels are turning :)

We fold clothes on our bed. It's a nice large flat space, and it's up off the floor so it's easier on our backs. But I like the bag idea for carrying the clothes after drying them!

Perfect timing I have to do laundry today. I have teenage kids and we have different days we do laundry. I stopped doing their laundry when they hit junior high. They stopped throwing clean clothes on the ground. Lol

I just wanted to tell the same thing! As my dryer stands just next to the washing machine and the surface of my washing machine is quite suitable for folding, I use it as a table :-) No need to make any unnecessary movements

I would recommend "Timer+" for watching the times on laundry instead. It doesn't have the cute pictures of the washer and dryer, but it runs the same type of timer and set up, can run multiple timers at the same time (with custom labels), and it's free!

Well could do a organization video for people with ADD? I have a hard time finding a system that is foolproof and less frustrating. But so far most of your ideas are great! But I would love more ideas like managing school and studying.

I really like your videos. Despite of your ideas on kitchen cabinet organisations I am still not able to decide about where different things should go in my kitchen. I have only 2 cabinets to stack utensils. They're insufficient. Can't spend money as it's a temporary place for 2 years.

The folding area in my house is the top of my bed.... I think thats where most people fold their laundry.

Hi Alejandra, wow! I thought I had the Smallest laundry room, but your laundry closet is way smaller than my laundry room! You shared some great ideas. As an older person I think I would use my bed to fold clothes on. The floor is way to hard to kneel on for my knees & too hard to get back up again! Plus I think hanging a lot of clothes on hangers is easier & quicker than folding clothes. Not all items! Do any Americans use a outdoor clothesline to dry clothes on? They are Very common & popular here in Australia. The Hills rotary clothes hoist was invented by an Australian. Thanks again for All your great ideas for all areas of a home :-) from Julie.

I was thinking the same thing lol. But I often get lazy and dont finish folding all of my clothes right away. So I think its a good idea to keep them off my bed or table haha

my parents use the unfinished basement for laundry. we have the machines that dont stack up so we take all the dry laundry and fold it on top of the machines, and then we put it in a basket to bring upstairs.

I need a dirty laundry system. Where to keep my clothes, children's grubbier clothes, bath towels and cloths, kitchen towels. I don't wash every day so where do they go so they are out of the way and separated until wash day?
