You can use the red-backed roll tape and the white thin roll tape to lay on an edge or frame something, then cover it with glitter, burnish it into the tape, brush away excess and viola.
HI I don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but if you keep the pop dots and the like, in a sealed baggie they wouldn't dry up as fast if at all. I keep my double sided tape rolls that I'm not using also in zip type bags. Thanks for inspiring!
I use those pop up dots to create stamps! Stick them on a block or cork and put paint on the exposed sticky and you have circle stamps! Or multiple circle stamps! Try it! It’s cool!
Hey, this is the only place on the internet where I can be entertained by a lady cleaning out a tape drawer! LOL You're like me looking for a piece of paper to jot something down. Boxes, books and piles of paper all around me, but, I can't find one I can write on! Thanks, Su
I spent yesterday doing a tape drawer and have to say it is amazing how much tape one has. I had no idea just how many rolls I had floating around. lol
I love that double sided red tape. I don’t care if it hasn’t got a dispenser. Oh I still have the rolled dots from 12/years ago. They indeed are keepers. Isn’t it amazing how the older are the best. Cheaper doesn’t mean better or best
I am only 30 seconds in but I thought “oh that doesn’t look bad this is going to be a short video .... then I looked , smiled , and refilled my cup of coffee”
A tip for the removable tape, it´s very useful for unmounted stamps, if you don´t have a handle dedicated for them, you can use removable tape and have a shared handle for them :) or if you have stamps that doesn´t have a sticky back and want to use it with that stamp book thingy (don´t know what they are called, but it opens like a book, made of plastic....I´m sure you know what I mean) I really enjoy this cleaning series you´ve got going on :) it´s interesting to see what you have vs what you usually use, AND my Autistic brain LOVES organizing 💜 it´s so calming...much better than a chillpill! and by watching others you can pick up tips and tricks along the way that you might not have thought of yourself, that´s always welcome :D Have a wonderful day :) 💜 and thank you for sharing ;)
I have a lots of tape of all kind that i by for scrapbooking but since i do junk journal i don't use it any more but now i decide to use it and finish it! Have a nice day ! 😉
Yippee, another organized drawer! I have all those tapes too and yikes, they need organizing, but I am not ready to tackle them yet, lol. You and Tina a do have me reorganizing my studio, thank you for getting me in a better space.
Good morning Pam. Fun to watch you organize and find things you forgot you bought. And of course sweet little sunshine keeping you company. Have a great weekend. ❤️❤️
I found myself talking to you, Pam 🤣 'No, no, no! push the 2 boxes to the left and move the pink material tape and black tape holder to the right w. the Tyvek!' but I calmed down and told myself, 'it's your drawer...mind your own business, Elizabeth ☝' 🤣 Great organization, Pam - love from Denmark 🌸 💕
I do this in every one of her organization videos. I’m still dying inside a little that she put decorative tapes (potentially: the medical tapes) with utilitarian tapes. They should have gone with her washi tapes. 🤣
The thicker sticky pads can be useful for 3D decopage, while the strips of the same stuff are good for shaker cards. Sometimes double-sided tape is better than wet glue for certain projects...to reinforce a spine, for example.
I find the little 1/8" double sided tape is really great for making pockets. Use it all the time! Still use double sided tape as I got back and forth between mini albums and junk journals. Glue dots not so much.
wow!!! That's some organization and a lot of tape!!! LOL!! I have somehow managed to use up most of my tapes but the ones used most often are in an old ice bucket (wedding gift from 46 years ago!) with knitting needles (mom's from the 60's) or rulers (kids HAD to have new rulers every year!! sitting in an assortment of little rocks, beans and sand (does the job and not visible as the bucket is covered in vinyl ducks! and voila! instant stand for your tapes Each different size of tape somehow managed to get it's own ruler or knitting needle (depending on size) works great for this and often used ribbon! Sits in the corner of my desk against the wall so I see it but is not in the way! TFS
My bet is you will never use that much removable tape in a lifetime 🤣😂. However, the drawer looks much better. I love that drawer unit...cool, cool, cool! And, I love your organizational videos. 🥰❤️👍
Your journals are awesome, chunky monkey or not, but alas, I can only dream of owning one. You are definitely in my top 5 RU-vid channels. God bless you. Becky B
Hi Pam, believe it or not, I was looking forward to seeing today's video. And no matter what the project is, I watch till the end. I pray that you and yours are safe and doing well. Take care and God bless you and yours. Sincerely Becky B from Arkansas
I spent all day yesterday leaning and re organizing my craft room. (thanks, Pam!) I found a whole bag of double sided tape I forgot I had! I was so excited because I thought I was out and was about to buy some more. Today I tackle all the stuff that will not fit in my craft room that I have in my living room.
I use glue dot for my watercolor tests sheets when attaching different weights of wc paper to the main sheet of paper. They do take a ton of work to get to work and leave all those papers around for cats and puppies to pick up. Switched to Fabric Fix.
When I scrapbook I use the tape runners- the removable stuff is good if you've placed something wrong or changed your mind you can move it - I use Tombow tape runners- but I haven't used it when journaling, I'll have to try it 🙂 I've been doing a lot of reorganizing all around my house as well as my craft room- maybe I've been inspired by your friday organizing videos! 😊 when you put away all the Christmas stuff it's the perfect time to go through things and throw away what you don't use and reorganize the rest - thanks Pam for your inspiration! 💗🌸⚘🌼🌻🌷
Good Morning Pam! Happy Friday to you and I beat you to it I did my tape drawer last weekend. Lol I wish you a awesome weekend with beautiful weather, we were 9 degrees this morning and the wind chill was negative 11 degrees. Take care!
The removable tape is good for printing text on journal cards. First print on regular copy paper. Then tape your card into position over the text. Reload the paper and print again. Voila, perfect positioning and the tape is easily removed without damaging your journal card.
I was already thinking about cleaning the downstairs closet. It isn't that bad. We keep extra food and supplies there. It won't take long to do. I think you need the double stick tape more for scrapbooking photos. I used to use it all the time. I even stopped using foam tape and use pieces of thin cardboard to add dimension to cards. I love your drawers with your supplies. It looks old and well loved ❤❤❤
That waterproof and paper tape are both first aid tape for bandages. You can always use the weaker tape for wrapping presents. Maybe the glue dots and weaker tape can be donated to a school or a day care? I liked using the dots with my first graders.
I love to use double sided tape. To fasten lace on the edge of pages, to stick down pockets, well to stick down almost anything in a book. Some tapes hold good and some release after a couple of hours. Annoying, but then I just Tacky Glue it down. If you don't want them send them to me?
You asked about tape. I got into those double sided tape cartridges when I first started because my sister gave them to me. I didn't have any liquid glue, so it worked fairly well. Then I started working with book pages, and they didn't work with book pages. Then I tried refills and that was an epic fail. I use tape from time to time because I know for certain I want something in a specific spot. You turned me onto fabritac and the Scotch glue sticks. Those seem to work better.
Who needs that much on hand...its not like the stores are closing down tomorrow for life..run low pick.. up a couple..less money spent...way more space..less time having to re-organize...win win.
The "less tacky" tapes, or the "removable tapes" I like to use when I know I'm sewing the area, to kind of hold everything in place before I stitch. Less tack means not gumming up my needle.
OK, next year toss that whole back left box OUT with that red tape (middle back), cause you wont use it! These are fun to watch because our thoughts are so similar.
This surprised me. I use tape all the time in my journal making. I use double side tape to hold papers together because I do a lot of sewing. Just one or two pieces in the middle of a piece of paper will hold it down so you can sew. I use reusable tape for stencils. I’d love all that tape!!
I use pop dots to give the height to something. I used to use glue dots ( AKA Snot dots) for small things that didn't need a whole lot of sickness, I have a large tape runner I use it. It has permanent adhesive in it. I have the red tape never use it. I have a few different adhesives but not a whole bunch.
I still use the very thin red-line tape for "construction" projects (Tim Holtz village structures, for example). Quick stick, no wiggle, and permanent - fits on those tiny little tabs. The red cover is annoying, though!
Don't ya just love to be organised iv just had a craft room clear out lets face it we need to occupie i selfs with crafts fantastic video pam u have great ideas to inspire us all 😍
Hi Pam, I use glue dots for tiny circles. A couple of the ones you have we're good for holding bandages on say your ankle when it hurts. Good going. Sunshine is so cute 🥰💓
Hahaha i love watching your organising video's i laugh so much cos it is exactly what i do buy loads and then don't know why i bought half the stuff xx
Looks great!!! If you decide the book binding tape needs to go, check with your local library. They may love to have it. (Speaking as a library employee 😊)
I think it's called "spring cleaning" because spring is technically the start of the natural/agricultural new year. January 1st is just the start of a new calendar year which is a made up measure of time. Before the calendar we know now existed spring signified the beginning of a new year so spring cleaning basically meant "new year cleaning".
GdM Pam!! Another "Tidy Friday"... Yaayy!! GREAT idea for draws...but, I work best in mess (can't seem to find anything, when everything is clean) on my desk!! Hope all is well with you and the family. Raining and nippy here in NC w/winter advisory later tonight (supposedly snow...yaayy!) in NC (missing FL & NYC). Have a wonderful, safe and blessed weekend! Peace & Blessings!
The removable tape I would use for templates to trace for books. I have like 6books I need to put together that need templates that I cut out and put on page protectors. With the original template inside.
I use the crafter's permanent tape runners in my journals with certain things. it's very sticky and once you put it down and stick the stuff together that's it unless you want to tear what you're trying to separate. It's good stuff in my opinion.
I'm curious know if the drawer fit back into the cabinet. The tapes on the front right look like they wouldn't go in in that position. Love to organize!
Pam, I think you unwittingly (or maybe purposefully) coined a new word by combining conundrum and quandary, hence "quandrum." I was thinking we need some new words for 2021, so, good on you. Now we just need others to help bring it into the lexicon by using it liberally, frequently, and with reckless abandon in convos. Pam the wordsmith. ❤ it!
Okay missy tape drawers. We could maybe make a dumb weighter from my hill in Idaho to Your house with all that tape. I will not google tapes...no you can't make me. 😀Red Green would love that drawer...😂😂😂
Hi Pam, I have an idea for your removable tape! How about using it to close flaps on pockets that you want to be able to open and close, kind of like a magnet closure, but with tape? Karen
Glue dots are so painful vs. glue. Ditch Pam! Those white wheel tape, needs to go ugh! In Portland we have a group called SCRAP PDX and they take all that stuff as donations. Then crafters, schools, etc. go there for major discounts on needed items. Give it a try.
Think I must have had a hobby collecting tape/ glue / sprays etc I have tons of it, and I only use green and blue wet glue bought in 10’s from Amazon, good stuff one grabs quickly the other is slower, but your work becomes concrete once dry, love it, Red lined double sided tape is a horror, unless I dip my finger in a glass cup, mason jar or jam jar it doesn’t come off you, great if you are static, hate the stuff! Glue circles on a strip ugh hate them when I find them, they go in the bin, I don’t mind the ones on a roll in a box otherwise they are annoying. I like some white double sided tape but not the cheap ones they are awful, don’t stick, cover doesn’t come off, no matter how much you run with bone folder, ugh! be gone I say straight in the bin. Recently bought other wet glue, but haven’t used yet, waiting til everything else is gone, love masking tape. The End! Thank you very funny xx😁🧡❤️🇬🇧
Oh. I hope that you did not throw away the glue dots! You just need do put them down on the surface really hard to get them to stick. Like rub them on.
Would it be 'microoriganizing' if you took a paint pen and wrote on some of those tape dispensers? Perhaps a note about tackiness or what you thought you might use it for? They looked large enough to take a small note, at least on screen! I'm to the point in my life where I don't remember like I used to (thanks menopause), so have begun to write myself notes on stuff!
A warning on the double sided or removable tape dispensers. First, the tape is not forgiving and almost impossible to remove. Second, for me the refills have not been reliable no matter what brand. I get about half of the refills malfunction. I'm anxious to see how it works for you.
Warning- the crafters taper runner you have. The blue ones. After so long whatever you use it on falls off the page. I started out as a Scrapbooker and used that at one time because it was cheaper than other products. Photos and paper embellishments fell off page in my books. I even tried in my first journals. Looked 6 months later and they could be bumped off.
Hey Pam. I have a random question. I don't have a computer, just phone, and no printer. Is there a way I can get the digikits printed? Thanks in advance.
Hi Phyllis, Yes, lots of folks have Staples, Fedex or Office depot or Kinkos print them out for them. Simply call them to see what they need from you. My digikits are jpeg files, they may ask.
