Adding my two cents weeks later 😅 I use swatch sticks for the exact reason you said: nail polish looks different dried on a nail than it does in the bottle. I use clear sticks and label them all by hand with a Sharpie. I also write the number of coats on each stick so that I have an idea of how thin/thick the formula is. I'm thinking about getting some matte taco and painting half of each stick matte as I tend to prefer matte looks. I keep my rings in order of how my polishes are arranged on my shelves, that way I can easily find a polish once I pick one out. Just bought all of the rainbow collections during the Royalty sale so I have A LOT of swatching to do!

I like painting the underside of the swatch stick for crème polishes. It obscures speciality finishes though.

2:31:35 I'm actually SO glad someone brought this up bc it does not say on the HT website how long you should typically let it soak in! And from googling came to the same answer of 1 hr bc theres so many diff blends of oils.. so I've just been thinking how is it possible for anyone to do this multiple times a day. I've been putting gloves on so that I can do other things 😅😬

The swatch sticks that I have are clear I think they're the same ones that Cristine has, however it's super important to note that you can't use acetone on them. It just melts the plastic because it's really cheap and thin. If you're getting a bunch of Swatch sticks and your idea is that before every manicure you're going to test it out and then wipe it off, really read what customers have noted before you do that.

Hmm... she kind of alluded to the idea that she'd have to redo the swatch ring order completely whenever releasing new colors (3:23:22), but couldn't she just insert colors as needed by moving the ring opening so it will be exactly where she needs to add the new color? She may have to open, close, and turn the ring multiple times, but that's not as bad as removing and rethreading allllll the sticks every time. Or is that part in and of itself very annoying?

I don’t know how RU-vid Premium works today, but back when it was RU-vid Red the channels you watched the most during the month of using the service would get a portion of the money paid from that subscription. No way of knowing what the exact breakdown is if you’re like me and watch a ton of content on the platform. Plus RU-vid itself is going to get a cut of the pay because it is their platform.
