I have mine on same strap like the last one. Goes perfect with the black dial. Also as I said before I have Rolex bracelet and I'm very happy with the look.
Just ordered white mako 40 and looking for strap ideas. Looks like the bracelet is the best match, but I'm not satisfied with the original bracelet. Hope aftermarket provide alternatives one day. Thanks for the video!
I got the peachy dial... the leather nato makes it sit too high for me, I put it on a beads of rice bracelet and it's just the ticket... thanks for the video! loving the white dial....
Good review. However how tight do you want your straps?! You’re showcasing them with your hand clenched, yet they look super tight. I can’t even imagine how it must be when you open your hand, as the wrist then expands.
It's really sad such a major qc issue from a big band like orient. I am expecting my mako 40 to arrive any day now i i wish i knew about this fault sooner. I am thinking of even keeping it unwarn in case orient does a recall. I really don't know, never happened to me before.
@@outsiderwatches Thank you my friend. Nothing to be sorry about. Better knowing than finding out my self after wearing the watch for a couple of days. Your video will help others for sure. Maybe Orient fixes it and at the future we have the rare Mako 40 with the 26' issue 😁. In fact the price i bought it was also really good but still not sure if i would pull the trigger if i already knew.
Consistent with all of Orient's entry-level divers, there doesn't seem to be any AR on the crystal. There's a good deal of washout on the dial at certain lighting angles.
How come you didn’t buy yours from TUS watches? Are they unreliable? I wish I could buy it from the Orient website but I don’t want to pay RRP price :(
Hello, I have no reason to be suspicious of TUS watches. It was just that at the time of my purchase, I could buy from Orient at about the same price with their full warranty. TUS is not an authorized dealer so the watch is not covered in the same way - that's all. TUS seems to have fantastic prices so I may give them a try in future. Hope that helps.
The gap at 26-27 seconds was finally exposed by many reviewers (although this one points at it but doesnt "see" it), causing Orient's initial silence followed by acknowledgment. Internally, the company experienced angst in several departments, especially design and QC.
