Would these be more comfortable than classic pants with the new stretchiness? Particularly around the holidays. lol But seriously even the previous pro pants NEVER fall off!
So I have both versions of the pro pants, and I LOVE the FLX version. They are made so well, and they aren't to stretchy, just enough in all the right areas. Innovation at it's finest. Origin is killing it as usual!
I'm a beginner to BJJ, should I get the Nano Pearl or go all out and get the Raptor? -Is the Raptor light enough that it packs easily for travel? -I'm a little over 6' / 200lbs, would A3 be the right size for me? You got a new subscriber!
Heeey thanks for the sub! I personally like them both equally. The raptor dries faster in my opinion and is a tad bit lighter than the nano. Both can pack up easily for travel imo. I’m 6,2 240lbs and I wear an A2L with 36/30 pants. You got an entry into the drawing so you just might get one for free! Good luck!!!
I read through a lot of the comments but I don't see anything about the FLX belt. Does it cause an issue with coming unclipped or digging into your stomach while rolling? I just started 3 months ago and the Gi I was given is super uncomfortable and I feel like I am wearing my little brothers GI. I am 5' 10" 220 (36" waist 30" inseam) and I have an A2. The top crosses at my belly button, never stays under my belt and I spend the whole class pulling my pants back up. After your review I will probably go with Raptor GI. Thanks!
So I haven’t really had to use the belt. The pants fit me perfectly without it. It seems pretty secure tho. Nothing worse than pulling up pants after rolls 😹
@@TheMindofBruce I have the nano DEF and it’s actually a bit larger than the others. They’re all A3. I think the rift shrank a bit too. But the classic Path is almost perfect.
After watching the whole video I am a little concerned about the "belt"for the pants. Is that...IDk, it seems like it would be a problem. Any thoughts?
I’m wearing the nano pearl right now and the weave is different. The nano pearl is a bit heavier than the raptor. They both use poly synth yarn. I believe the nano is IBJJF approved. The raptor feels more like a robe to me and the weave is softer. Don’t get me wrong the nano is softer than my other gi’s but the raptor is a different level of soft.
Nano Pearl and Raptor are Origin fabrics. What's the difference betwen Path and Axiom gi jackets? Strictly the decorations or are they different cuts for a different fit?
I trained with Leo Vieira in California from white-brown belt and moved to south Florida 3 years ago. Currently under Rodrigo Mendes, got his BB from Dedeco. Funny thing I think Leozhinho just got brought on board to Origin at their last camp. I want to go to that next year
It’s actually somewhat baggy, however I think with the new IBJJF gi regulations it won’t be legal. Origins website said the raptor isn’t guaranteed legal, some of their other gis are tho.
Hi there Bruce, I’m 1.80m (5 foot 10) and 84kg (185 lbs) with an athletic build. Origin only has left A2L on their website, would it be too big for me? I use an A2 in all my other gis. Much appreciated mate.
