yeah I love em too, this one reminds me of an insane MM17 box I opened, it was like every pack had an amazing rare or mythic - had a little dry spell, the ended with a foil tarmogoyf. I understand why people are addicted to opening boxes - I just can't afford it too often but these videos let me enjoy that feeling vicariously - thanks Rudy!
uma wasn't as good. common and uncommon slot is still better on original mma hence the 300$ tag on Uma and the 500$ tag on original mma. Uma is essentially box topper or bust
My dad and I bought some of these packs when they first came out. I opened a foil Arcbound Ravager, it's worth around 40 dollars now. We looked at the price of it years later and I sold it to my dad.
This was an amazing box. And Rudy is totally right here that this has some amazing commons and uncommons. And when you look at it compared to MM2, as he said, you start to understand why that set is so hated. Plus it's $3 more per pack. This is no doubt one of the greatest products Wizards has ever produced.
People complaining about more box openings, a lot of people enjoy these types of videos, especially when Rudy is the one commentating it. Plus it's more entertaining for patrons. He still releases topic videos. Understand that every video doesn't cater to you, and you'll be less disappointed. Keep it going Rudy, love ya.
I had to think about it a bit to consider the fact it may have been Rudys enthusiasm that made that first box seem so good....but no, that first box was fucking AMAZING!!!
I bought a box of modern masters 2015 and eternal, and got reamed by the eternal but the 2015 I pulled a foil mox opal but yeah the new ones kind of are iffy but this vid is kinda making me wanna buy another eternal box! Ah! Amazing pull Rudy! Ur commentary is hella funny and keep on rocking in the free world!
And when I think that back in the day I had almost all those cards in their originals edition print, even had the espelth in foil out of an additional booster of a basic deck.. I sold everything for nothing and really cry when I realized I wanted to get back in magic 😂
Just the rares and mythics alone is over $600+. Include cards like path and Kitchen Finks, Electrolyze and lessor rares, the 2 boxs value goes up to the $700. I really overlooked the value of the original modern masters. There is just so much good stuff in the set that see modern play.
I personally could care less about how long the videos are for the box openings. I really enjoy the commentary. If you see any value or good card in general, regardless of the rarity slot, talk about it. It really adds to your videos.
Seriously? More box openings? Running out of things to talk about already? Hope Rudy continues with the interesting stuff, otherwise this chan would become just one more of what I already don't care about.
Why not try to enjoy it for the people who support someone who takes the time out of his day to send love to those who support him. I mean its not all about you man.
I see it as a way for him to give back to his patrons. I have no problems with it what so ever. If this isn't the type of thing you enjoy you can just wait for another of his non-opening videos. IMO for box opening videos these are quite entertaining and fast.
ROFL, I watch your videos from time to time and I gotta admit... this is the best pack opening ive watched aside from that one guy opening an alpha lotus. The combination of the rarity/value and your reaction to everything about it was just great. I'll be looking for more box openings. Thumbs up
Nice vids man! I'm an accounting & finance dual major w/ an economics minor and I just want to say I appreciate your vids! I try to get all my friends who play to think of mtg not just as a card game but instead and appreciable (accounting sense not emotional) investment, especially if they want to do a lot more tournaments. Keep it up!
EMA was actually just as valuable as MM13. The problems is, because the barrier to entry that is the Reserve List exists, there is very little demand for cards that are only really viable in Legacy in Vintage. The best example of this is Karakas, a card that was only expensive due to the fact that it was insanely scarce, AND IT'S BANNED IN COMMANDER! Basically EMA card prices were very high at the start, but due to the lack of demand for Eternal Formats, the prices tanked hard and could never really recover.
Welcome to 2020: UMA, MH1, and Double Masters all in play and for many of us, the OG Modern Masters is a fading memory - but this video does bring a smile to my face.
If I were to disagree more, I would break the laws of physics. I find nothing amusing about watching other people's boxes being opened. There's 10 billion box opening videos on RU-vid and I couldn't care less.
Those boxes broke Rudy. His awesome capacitors couldn't handle the load. XD DUDE You're right. Original Modern Masters was amazing. I wish I could get in on that action cause Modern is all I play. Sweet box opening Rudy, would love to see more MM.
