@@garyking9623well they’re also talking about being happy. It’s hard to be fulfilled and happy when greedy. But I agree, you have to be very competitive
I noticed that when me and the class were reading it so I played the songs to save pages then my teacher said “this ain’t the same song” so I said “you obviously never saw Charlie and the chocolate factory”
It’s kind of weird how they reused “greedy” in the last one, since Mike Teevee wasn’t quite as greedy as he was addicted to the TV. “Greedy” definitely fit Augustus Gloop, though.
I will always love this version of Willy Wonka. It wasn't much about the candy. It's about being a decent human being and treating people kindly. Therefore, doing these things you'll go far.
@@drugleman601 A major capitalist entrepreneur cannot be a decent person. It's good if he's just an oppressor and a fraudster. He could also be a murderer.
Holy shit snacks… I just looked up the book version of the song while watching the Depp version of this story and hearing its song. Sweet mother of God… I see why they changed it so much in this original movie version. I’ll just say… It’s pretty damn strong.
When I was younger, I would dub Rusty Goffe as 'The Young Oompa Loompa' due to how young he looked. He was only in his early 20's at the time. I also dubbed Angelo Muscat as 'The Old Oompa Loompa' due to how old he looked. I thought he looked quite wrinkly. But looking back, he just happened to have quite a lined face along with a lot of chin and neck fat. He was in his late 30's or early 40's at the time. But I thought he would have been older than that.
The Oompa Loompas must’ve known Charlie had the best morals out of all the Golden Ticket winners. Charlie wasn’t greedy, he had good manners and he certainly wasn’t spoiled either.
My daughter just came and asked for Oreos, I told her to get a healthy snack first. She did then came back and asked why do I always make her eat a healthy snack before eating junk food? I told her I don’t want her to be an Oompa Loompa when she’s older… she’s 7 and never seen this movie so here we are 😂😂😂 I asked if she wanted to watch the full movie after seeing this and she said no because it’s a movie from the 80s 😂😂😂 I can’t wait to tell her when it actually came out 😅
Actually in my time it was innovative this film until it was the most watched film than the remake because it was something attractive for the cinematographic world in its time
I’m probably going crazy, but here’s what I think the four bratty kids would be like if they were genderbent and the sins they represent were flipped into virtues: Augustus Gloop / Gluttony - Augusta Gloop / Temperance Violet Beauregarde / Pride - Vincent Beauregarde / Humility Veruca Salt / Greed - Virgil Salt / Generosity Mike Teevee / Sloth - Michaela Teevee / Diligence
Lesson 1: don’t give kids sweets or they will gain a sweet tooth Lesson 2: don’t Chew gum like your life depends on it and give good manners Lesson 3: raise your kids right or they won’t turn out right Lesson 4: touch grass and get a book after touching grass
- Gluttony, and the health problems that come associated with it -Addiction (arguably) and impropriety -Greed and poor parenting -Laziness and screen time, which has apparently been a problem
Tim Burton is a producer, director, and screenplay writer. He directed the newer film based on the book starring Johnny Depp, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005).
