It’s amazing to see cars that are still owned by their original owners! What’s the longest you have owned a vehicle? #musclecar #1970chevelle #1970chevelless
Back in mid seventies, there was a drop dead gorgeous blonde girl from the other high school in town, who drove a 70 Chevelle SS 396 4 speed. Family bought it from first owner. Don’t know if she raced it but she shifted gears like a boss.
Very rare Malibu!!! 1970 was the only year you could order the rally dash WITHOUT the SS option. I know of 2 others that have this option. Thanks for the video.
I miss my 1970 Malibu. It also had the high hp 350 (L-34) but had the close ratio 4speed and 12 bolt posi rear 3:31:1 gears. Power steering and power disc brakes, buckets, console and it was quick!! White exterior, vinyl top delete, with black interior. Sweep dash tho.😊
Too bad she couldn't get the 4 speed she wanted. However she knew what she wanted in it. A one owner 53 year old classic ride. The photo album speaks for itself. A well documented ride.
My first car was a '71 Malibu I got it in '96 2500$. Burnt Orange metallic, black interior/vinyl top. 350 2bbl TH 350 2.56 open diff. L65 cruising option I believe, had cruise control. California car. The color of this one's beautiful. Every time I see a 70-72 Chevelle I get memories..
I love that color! If you’re a Chevelle fan check out this estate sale I went to recently. Ridiculous! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C2c4uexpv0M.htmlsi=RzBLXaKOVWCBkQ31
That’s awesome my uncle had a 70 something Buick skylark that was very similar to the Chevelle and he bought it originally had it most of his life. Then my sister ended up with it only drawback as it was this god-awful, gold color. He loved it. Everyone else said yuck love the channel man keep them coming
Neighbor near my friend had a 70 convertible same color but white interior and top. Buckets and console ralleys. 350 though. Drove it everywhere. This is in 78 bought it new.
Terrific story, that malibu looks much better than the performance based chevelles , with the stainless trim on the wings and the rear bumper looks better too, without the ss pad , and the aluminum grille pops , lovely car.
thats a good looking ol lady! I have a 1947 Mercury I bought in 1967. 392 hemi, tilt front end plus my grandfathers 37 Ford pickup, 1940 Farmall and the 54 Ford he bought new
Rare car, and to have the original owner as well? I have a 67 MALIBU with 283, glide, buckets, console with VERY rare headrests (for 67). Bolero Red on red with black vinyl top with 1 older repaint. It's 1st, near 40 years (documented) was owned by ONE lady (similar to here) as well 😏. It shows 43k on odometer and the suspension etc. dictates SUCH as being original mileage car as well, quite possibly.....I wonder 🤔 IF ANY of the true 70 enthusiasts COULD tell me IF THAT blue 🔵 looks to be an original color on THIS 70 as well? I DON'T think I have EVER seen the 70 MALIBU in THAT color (in my almost 50 years 😬).... Looks like the factory blue that was on some of those 70 SS Chevelles/Elcos....Thx for sharing. Happy Restoring and Cruizin 😎🤘🔥🤘
My sister had a 70 Malibu same color with a white convertible top; 350 with buckets, & the center counsel with horse collar shifter. It succumbed to the rust of the rust belt; What a shame.
My first car was a 1970 Malibu which was very similar. 350 4bbl, buckets and console with a 12 bolt rear, it wasn't posi tho. It came 4 speed. It'd been converted to a th400 when I got it. Cortez silver. I still have the build sheet somewhere.
I had one, 1970 Malibu, in the 1980s only mine also had air conditioning and a four-speed manual transmission, of course bucket seats, console, and the SS - dash.
She needs Patrick Glenn Nichols to verify it and log it into registry . That would preserve the history and the value of the car. He has a you tube channel you can find out more about all that. Nice car, great history and good to see its a surviver. Plus he could help her in other ways to. Like keeping it all stock or original if she needed repairs. He may even offer to buy it.
It doesn't matter that is a bad mofo My mom and dad had the 70 Monte Carlo with the The 330 horse The 330 horse 350 motor real born fine Across from old junkyard in Beltsville Maryland called Rosie's junkyard what was called Rosie's get to walk across the railroad tracks In a old barn behind the hog Form up past samHill Pullman. Dad put gas in a hot battery and drove it right out of that barn my uncle Chester Rest in peace told daddy he knew where one wand that's how we got it Was mama's favorite car
Back when u could get a car the way u wanted it. I had a 69 el camino. Factory a/c tilt wheel SS pkg with 350 No pwr steering. No pwr brakes, drum brakes and had a 600.00 dollar teakwood steering wheel option ...
I worked for a car dealer that bought an (almost) identical one at an auction in 1979, except the color was metallic brown, but same slap-stick console with buckets. My memory may be embellishing but I thought the HP was 350,,,, in-fact, thought it was interesting that it was a 350 w 350 hp,,,,,, What was the hp on this car? (I tried to pause the video, but couldn't read it). Also, I checked and can't seem to find Chevrolet Malibu ever offering a 350 w 350 hp. Love your videos btw.
This engine is the L-48 option, 300 horsepower 350, not 350 horse, this never existed in the 350 engine, any year. I own two 1970 equipped L-48 cars, '70 Malibu Sport Coupe, '70 El Camino Custom, both also have factory gauges the U-14 gauge package.
It's rare to see a malibu with bucket seats and console.ive seen another 70 malibu like that.a Texas car red on red with a white top .I seen it years later w/o the top the top and hopped up some.
My first car was a 69 chevelle that was a freak optioned car it was a 307 but had the big block hood ɓuckets console with a 3 speed standard with a 12.bolt posi the guy bought the car like that special order then I found out his brother had a 67 427 fastback vette he totaled and the plan was to put the 427 and 4 speed in the chevelle and right before they did the engine swap his brother found a 59 vette roller and bought it and turned it into a drag car I got the chevelle in 1976 the owner was marring my cousin and she could not drive a stick so he put the car up for $600 dollars all I had was 275 and I asked him if I gave him that 275 down and 50 dollars a week if I could have the car he talked to my cousin and she said just let him have it for the 275. I was only 14 and still had about 4 months before I could get my license. I cold the car about 21/2 years later for 450 and bought a 72 nova
@@DezzysSpeedShop no but been looking for nova or 66 or 67 chevelle or tri 5 I have a 88 monte carlo SS RIGHT NOW and I have a 427 that is 0.60 over so it's a 439 big block got all the good parts howards roller cam AFR heads forged crank and pistons with L88 rods it's around 10.7 to 1 compression and a brand new turbo 400 with a reverse valve manule valve body and all the other tricks done to it. It made 661hp and 605 torque on the dyno I'm looking for something older to put it in ìf not it's going in the 88 SS so it will be what the factory should have done with something called a SS.
@markg7030 it does. It's really a rare car. It's the first one I've seen that has the dash the SS cars have. Plus the buckets, and console. It has a lot of the SS options. Which is really COOL!
@@ramblerdave1339Yes Sir, I had a 1970 LS-6 454, 4 speed, 4:10 rear, black, with white interior and stripes, I bought it brand new in 1970, very nice, quick car. A close friend had a car almost exactly like mine, except was a non SS with the 300 hp 350, same color combination as mine, but his was an automatic. Also a very nice car, he had the Rallye dash, and buckets with the console.
@@Musclecar1972 A guy I worked with at an Import Dealership, had one exactly like yours, but I don't know what gear it had, nothing less than 3.73. Rode in it, carpooling. My best Chevrolet experience to this day.
Didn't she say it was built near the end of 1970, and that is why it has 1971 parts on it, but the photo album says "AUG 1970" just wondering thats all, sweet ride
She was a pistol sucks no 4sp but the horse shoe is exra cool..Co worker goes down in history as a hater lol. Cool car not an ss but has the features lady luck!
@DezzysSpeedShop chevrolet also had a big block option available for the Malibu in 1970-71 and referred as a Malibu 400 not to be mistaken as the heavy chevy...my 71 is a big block , one of only just over a thousand produced in 71 badged as a Malibu 400
I ordered a 70 nova with all the guages bucket seats dual exhaust pos rear end rally wheels. Looked like a ss but it wasn't. 350 2 barrel with 3 speed manual. In NC if you were under 25 in the military with a 300 hp 4 speed insurance was double.
All those items are options you could get on any malibu.if she wanted a 4 speed car the dealer would have found her one.this typical car show bullshit story.
