Hi, Chris enjoyed comparison between the two cameras the Ricoh edged it for me . Looking forward to the dual with the SLR I particularly like the slip with the word thlin I would definitely keep that as a new descriptive word I loved it ?? One for the Oxford Dictionary any way Chris looking forward to the next vid best wishes Brian.
I was actually curious about this. I love delta 3200 with a cheap point and shoot but also wanted to pick up the original GRD to replace. Great comparison.
I use a 8.1 megapixel Ricoh gr digital camera from 2005. My settings are black and white at 800 iso with sharpness and contrast up. I put the images through my Huawei P10 plus phone. Sharpness up re balance contrast and saturation if required.
Thanks for the comments, this camera is really special but it can't quite replicate the look for film but, for a digital camera it does pretty well and is a lot easier to use. The snap focus is also amazing.
I liked the look of film better. I had the Ricoh back in 2006 and I know from my photos that it has beautiful B&W rendering but in the evening/nightshots the film was better. I also think the grain/noise on DR is smaller than on film..? Anyway - it shows that the small sensor cams are good and you do not need full frame or APS-C for everything you shoot. Would be nice to see the GR against some other digicam. I am sure there are some great ones ot there to a bargain price.
