Just bought one of these off of this review, I am very fortunate to own an omega “moon watch” a Tissot and a Christopher ward but can see this Seiko getting a lot of wrist time 👍
Great looking watch. Been looking to add a chrono lately. Only seikos I own are skx’s, might have to spring for one of these. I’m liking quartz more again.
@Levi, I really like the older chronograph watches from Seiko, keep following as they will be coming up. The older quartz from Seiko had bags of character and were unique pieces. The newer ones all look the same to me. The movements are solid so you dont need to always go brand new
Beautiful watch. I really want to get a Citizen BL5XXX due to the extra time zone and solar battery charging (If I get a perpetual calendar, I want to change the battery as infrequently as possible), but I can't find one that looks as clean as this. 😢
I agree with you man, I see people buying casio edifice instead of seikos and even claiming that casio is better than seiko and their taste tells you they are in the initial stages of watch collecting. Personally I like these fine details more than gimmicky features of the hyped watches. My dream is to buy a seiko automatic chronograph, probably in presage or prospex limited series or an omega automatic chronograph. I presently own a seiko 5 white dial with day date, and a timex quartz blue dial with day date 24 hour time, and a titan watch I was given by my dad when I was a kid.
You don't happen to know if you can swap out the bracelet for a strap, by any chance? I've seen the rose gold version with a strap, but honestly, I think it looks a bit too pink for my taste. Nice presentation by the way. I agree with all the points you make.
I am a new subscriber and I really like the work you are doing on this channel. I have been going back through your older video and I came across this one. I bought this watch about a year ago just because I wanted something I could just set and forget but with some style. I have the model with the rose gold tones on the hands and pushers. Let me tell you its a beautiful piece. You really have to get hands on to appreciate the finishing on this one. IMO Seiko is showing off a bit on this watch. I think they are just letting everyone know what can be done at this price when you know what you are doing. I also have the Citizen BL5400-52A and AT4106-52X which I believe pack the same punch but they are more expensive and their dial configurations is just not as classy. I couldn't decide on this one vs the black Arabic numeral one, so I applied the same immediate solution plan i use in the AK47 / AR15 argument of which is better, and just got both of those mfkrs. Problem solved. I like your channel 👍
