I've finished Crooked Kingdom a while ago and when i listen to this song now is like my heart aches , i miss the characters and the story like i would miss a friend. I love these books so so much!!

This is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. I just got through reading the Six of Crows, and I loved ever page. Then to hear this song is like icing onto of the cake. Your descriptions of the city and the characters were spot on, and the tempo of the song made it more heart wrenching and sad and just amazing! Not to mention that you have a great voice. Absolutely gorgeous!

At first I thought Nina's part was Inej, and I was kind of confused, and then I realized that she came with KAZ later. Amazingness!!!

The best thing for me about this is that we _do_ know. We know what Nina and Mathias are fighting for, we do know wher Wylan and Jesper come from and we do know where Kaz and Inejs heart lie. These are the most central aspects of those characters and we have seen these questions be answered on the books. It's just really well done

Six of Crows: No mourners, no funerals Crooked Kingdom: Five mourners, one funeral

My favourite line of this song is "Can you hear the ocean calling" because the ocean symbolises so many different things in Six of Crows. First it’s the heist in the first book. For Inej it symbolises freedom and strength because of her goal to hunt down slavers. For Matthias the ocean is both how he met Nina and his connection to his religion and therefore his main conflict (also his death, so, there’s that). For Nina it is also both how she met the love of her life and the distance that brought between her and her home. For Jesper one could argue that it’s also the distance between him and home, him and who he once was, so it kinda symbolises him running from his past as well as his past catching up to him because of the heist. For both Wylan and Kaz the ocean (or water in general) symbolises their trauma and hidden fears/depths. So yeah, I don’t know if this was intentional in that way but I really love that bit especially.
