Original Soul Train Dancer Marco De Santiago Got His Big Break On The Show At Just 16 Years Old! 

I swear... every last dancer, thus far, has the greatest personality. They come across as people you would like to know. I LOVE this series! Keep 'em coming!

His press 'n' curl was gorgeous! He did that purple and yellow outfit. I loved his Diana Ross story.

This was so funny but cool. I was a Soul Train dancer...at home in the living room 😉

The one thing I noticed is how the dancers always speak about how someone helped them. I love hearing people giving other people their acknowledgement for giving them a hand up. This series is amazing and I love the stories! (Mostly the clothes) :)

Mr Marco I thought I was the only one who was uncomfortable doing the Soul Train Line. Like you I was a bit shy, nervous and not extremely comfortable with the spotlight being on me, I do now regret NOT taking advantage and seizing the opportunity presented however I will always cherish my SOUL TRAIN experience. Also like you SOUL TRAIN allowed me to mingle with some of my favorite artists many of whom have become friends or at least acquaintances. I am humbled to this day by this blessing. Your Lionel Richie experience sounds similar to my Prince experience. Glad to see you are still doing good, Be blessed my Brother, family forever, LOVE PEACE AND CHICKEN GREASE

As I said time and again, majority of the _ST_ dancers from years past continue to _not_ age _AT ALL_ and that's a fact! You couldn't attempt to reboot _ST_ today. That was a moment in time!!!

Marco is the man! 76 to92 is a hell of a run. I think Martin Lawrence created the "Jerome" character after him. Though I will say he dressed much better than Jerome and in the 80's in L.A. it was common to see dudes with whipped perms around town but most of them looked like they just got out the pen and you wouldn't dare say anything to them about their hair...lol

So connected to these stories. We were all Soul Train dancers (at home😂)

For those who was born after this show had aired! It was a privilege to say I was one of the many ghetto kid's bugging out on Saturday mornings! I'm one who sat in the middle of the floor looking for your favorite dancers ( dancing, fashion, and music ). I just turned 48 December 24, 1972.

I like that Soul Train gave everyone a chance to be "hood celebrities". It made them feel good about themselves, gave them a creative outlet, and gave them stories to tell. And seeing them - people who look like "us" - made us feel good ourselves, too. They were living a dream for us all. Beautiful Black folk and POC, looking good and dancing freely as if the world was never against us. I wasn't born until 1990, but I love the nostalgia!

Marco was my favorite male Soul Train dancer. I learned some smooth dance moves and great fashion pointers from this brother.

The only thing that could keep me inside instead of outside playing was Soul Train. Kids have more choices of what to watch today but nothing like Soul Train and what it meant to us.

Of course I remember you dancing on Soul Train because I watched every single episode. Your style and dance moves were indeed unique and memorable. After high school, I dreamed of going to LA and becoming a dancing on Soul Train.

The production and editing of these are top notch. These are such a joy to watch. I mowed the lawn while American Bandstand was on and came in to cool off with the cool school Soul Train.

Soul Train was the biggest platform for young black people. Me, along with my family did not miss Soul Train! I am so glad the dancers are being interviewed. They all appear to be humble and had success in their lives. This guy has a calm demeanor and soft spoken.

Soul Train was my absolute favorite show to watch on Saturday as a pre teen and teenager. I remember fondly most of the dancers in this series because of their style and/or the way they danced. Soul Train was such a huge part of my youth. I must say looking back make me a bit teary-eyed.
