Yes ofc wing chun is basically the base of it but bruce lee cut out alot of the unnecessary things and added alot of things of his own that he thought was valuable but i dont think wing chun would be very good in todays years

I think JKD Wing Chun is less "pure" than actual Wing Chun. It's more practical oriented and less focused on the perfect forms

So should everyone who wants to learn the piano just sit in front of it and try to figure out how to create beautiful music. Or should the draw on centuries of information held and shared by great masters through time, use that as a basis and then when they have all that information assimilated, use it to fins their own way to truely express themselves with their instrument.

Fight Life, Tommy Carruthers can NEVER get the attention that Bruce Lee has had in his life. the #1 name in martial arts that pops up in any , any feed back is Lee, Bruce always!!!! Carruthers speed is good , just NOT as fast as the king L, Bruce. Ali s hands were ONE tenth of a second, Bruce Lee s hands and feet could NEVER be timed , in fact, film makers ASKED lee to SLOW down cause they were NOT able to catch his speed. Nice respect for Carruthers, just NOT as great as Bruce lee!!

P.S. We worked out with 3 rd degree black belts ,and higher ranks, they ADMITT that Lee would take them out WITHOUT even trying. Carruthers may not even have a chance against Tony Jaa , Jet li, or even Jackie Chan during their prime years, or not even Bill "Superfoot Wallace, for the reason that the names said are great with counter attacks. Tommy Carruthers has not shown as much as the names said in any video.

The real deal , and regards Bruce Lee , Chuck Norris thought him how to kick . Bruce Lee's kicks were not even that good , bar his side kick . You're talking about actors , carruthers is for real and is recognised by the founders of jkd as one of very few people in the world qualified to teach it at the highest level .

Fight Life, we respect your arguments, but... if you look at history Bill " superfoot Wallace fought with ONE leg only! This was the most amazing thing about him , and won 3 world titles! Chuck Norris won 6 world titles, and admitted he would NOT have won in a real match against the great Lee, B. In real life , people did challenge Bruce in a fight, they all went DOWN as witnesses were NOT able to video, or see what happened. On filming set, Lee beat up some as producers were there. Keep searching on YTube , it is there. And Jack Man Wong did NOT win over Bruce , ASK Lee s wife , she is still ALIVE and was there . People just make more Money , or to get more views on YT!
