Built the year before the introduction of Harley-Davidson's overhead valve motor, the much loved "Knucklehead". The old side valve "Flathead" motor seen here would stay in production on the "Servi-Car" three wheel model until 1973. The H-D "Flatheads" were built under licence in Japan from 1929 until 1958 by "Rikuo" motorcycles.
I've worked on many early harleys over the years and never saw an unrestored bike that looks like that. Especially one that's being ridden. Beautiful bike, but it call BS on the unrestored statement
