This probably sounds weird, but, somehow, seeing Ben and John cruising around that beautiful city, in that beautiful Cadillac, on that beautiful day, having the conversation they did, and getting all the positive responses they got from the people who spotted them, gave me a sense of hope for mankind. Perhaps things really will work out and be okay in the end.
That's real life. I think the past few years have made some of us forget that *this* is normal. And a lot of the podcasts focus on the worst places. People are still very friendly where I live :)

He is absolutely right when he said, “ who hates illegal immigrants the most? Legal immigrants.” I don’t really hate them, but I wish they’d respect a country’s sovereign authority and laws. They make us, hard working people look bad. We’ve never taken a dime from the government but we’re where we are because of God’s grace, hard work and respect for the soil we’re standing on.
I took a road trip across the country, and the red states were the best. They had the friendliest people and were the most affordable. Can't blame Ben for leaving California!
My mom is an immigrant. She loves this country so much. She wears American flag hats and jackets and cries every thanksgiving. She’s the most American American I know.
As a legal immigrant, it really rubs me the wrong way when people advocate for open borders? Dumbest idea ever. You wouldn't just let anyone in your home, why would you let just anyone in your country?

This was one heck of a entertaining video. You should do this again! One of my Mexican neighbors was sworn in as a US Citizen last night, I can assure you she despises illegal immigration.
This makes me realize that there are some really great conservative people in this country. These are just the famous ones. There are so many that we don’t even know. I’d rather watch these two people talk than just about anything else. It’s so clean and refreshing and no agenda and it’s really powerful. This country is starving for people that actually care.

It literally brings tears to this old guy's eyes to see people who are still proud of their country and are not ashamed to show it. In my country the pride is deep in most people but in toady's world most people are ashamed to show it. Very sad,

I hope the discussion they had about the difference between the people who listen to country music, and those who produce and promote, it resonates with the people who heard it. I have known about this for years, but most people don’t. The people who promote it absolutely detest the hardworking, God fearing people who listen to it. Glad they had that conversation!

I have it on my to do list. Almost drove through a few months ago but it was too far out of the way, I was having issues with my Van engine getting hot. I didn't know about John Rich's place back then, so all is good and Nashville has now been highlighted.

I just visited Nashville and went to a David Phelps Christmas Concert. The people were super friendly. There was a positive attitude regardless of the current National situation.
