Lootaz for me, Orks have many ways to deal with light to medium infantry witch both can deal with, but tank are an issue and lootaz can be a threat to light and medium tanks. Love to hear your thoughts on the stompa I absolutely love how he plays now with a Mek to support!!
With Nobz no longer getting access to Kombi-Skorchas 😭, I'm thinking of loading a unit of 10 Burna Boyz into a Trukk for some auto-hitting, drive-by burny action 🔥🔥🔥 Definitely would add a Character in there to buff their survivability.
I think the trukk already cover the survivability. A painboy is 80 points for a 130 point unit, I think you can better put those points somewhere else. Especially since the painboy doesn't increase the damage output from a shooty unit.
I miss the old 3rd Ed rules where Burna Boyz got a bonus against vehicles in close combat (on top of counting as having a power weapon). That might just because that was my first Ork codex and it made an impression on me.
The greenest and best, most fun-filled ork codex ever! I really miss the days when you could pick up a game book (war game or RPG) for $15 - $20. Eleven-year-olds today can't afford them--they're all marketed to their parent's pocketbook.
I’ve always loved using Burnas cause they’ve always been either a nuisance that your opponent can’t ignore, or a creditable threat that can give your opponent pause for thought.
10 burna Boyz auto include. Torrent auto hitting with range attacks are fantastic and having 2 heavy weapons at the same price as 15 regular boyz (which you would need to get 20 boyz for 2 rokkits in the squad for example) is a steal.
Flame the cultists and smash the berserkers in close combat. Trouble is that if two or three Khorne Boys survive they'll wipe your burnas. Saying that 12 D6 flamer auto hits in overwatch will probably toast anything through weight of dice.
I don't know which one I would prefer. They both sound like lots of fun to use. And beside right now I only play combat patrol, so I have time to deside which I want. If I cant choice Ill just take um both. There Orks there always good.
When I see this unit I always think of German combat engineers with flamethrowers- assault troops to attack enemy in buildings and bunkers. How about 15 burna boyz in a battle wagon led by a boss.
Hi steve, i compare in game lootas and burna boys playng both in a game, of course burna are the way... but i still love more lootas. The point is dat, momentally with waargh and stuck in buff burnas get more to shine in close combat weapon with reroll wounds on 6 inch close.... lootas reroll only hits not wounds and hits on 5 if stationary.... weaker overwatch meh.... put burna on truk and slam they closer to the enemy on objective, they do the rest. 😊 With spammer kmb can go Vs light veichles already 😮 To make lootas usable again they have to give them 5+ balistic with heavy keyword and 3 shoots each with rapid 2 and sustained hits... 🎉🎉🎉
I think Lootas are very usable. I take your point on the Burnas being really good but they are also much more at risk of being taken out as they need to be right in the thick of the action. Lootas are more likely to survive longer into the game and therefore will likely do as much (if not more) damage over the course of the game. Personally I think they are both really good bargain priced units and most armies should probably use both!
I'll be honest here, I have only really skimmed the surface of it lately. Always kind of hoped the Overfiend would get a miniature release. But yeah, Orks vs Nids. What's not to like?
wel sounds good but me like bring back the tem plats last you see whare the flames go but have lot birners say 10 think of 10 plats over lapping be neat i think but thats me and do have cobow guns burners ansd daka ? thats kind thing that orks need as ruel but me agen will see as do new
Allways liked lootaz more cauz they are an orkunit that can have some nice dakka output. To be fair, there is no lack of close range abilities but nice shooting results for orks.... easy decision for me.

Oh I fully agree! You're not wrong either bud. I'd say why not have both? Lootas for long range and burnas for up close. Working together they will shift most things off an objective!
I think you got your pronunciation wrong. When you were talking about loading them up, you pronounced it "Tru-k". It's actually pronounced "Gar-gan-chu-an Skwi-goth". Easy mistake to make, really.
