Orlando Vlogs Day 26 | Honest Review of Food and Wine 2023 | LOW crowd levels at the end of august
After a couple if late nights, we decide to go out a bit later and head to Epcot and eat around the world. As it turns out, Epcot was pretty quiet so we were able to ride a lot of attractions and try a load of snacks with minimal wait. We then enjoyed the fireworks before heading back to Animal Kingdom to chill on our Savanna view balcony.

My two favourite parts of this one are 1. When Matilda takes over the Vlog in Epcot and sounds like a complete Professional Reporter (she is after her Dad’s job)! 2. When you come back to your room and see the Giraffes lying down. That’s something I have never ever seen and it’s so good that your whole family appreciated that Savannah view - even if you were slumming it by not having the DVC Villa!

Yep, she's a chip off the old block. Bless her. She will definitely do more next time. As for the giraffes, I was seriously awestruck. So incredible to see. I would recommend anyone that's staying at AKL to splash out for a Savanna view room

😮wow … I’ve never seen a giraffe laying down. I love AKL. We own some points there and part of the reason I bought them was to be able to get Kilimanjaro club level with points. Plus the value rooms. I think overall it’s probably still my favourite resort. You can’t really beat that savanna view and while it’s a bit further away, the busses are really good. Also, the quick serve at jambo house is excellent. 👍 😊….

It was pretty incredible. We talk about it more in the next vlog, but we'd definitely go back to AK lodge as long as we had a Savanna view at Kidani. Thanks again for watching 🙂

Hey there, I hope you don’t mind me asking but I have been watching all your vlogs and you really seem to have a good balance of snacks and meals, similar to what we would eat, and you love the shopping outlets /walmart like we do, although I do like park merch a lot! Can you advise what kind of daily budget you would take for a family of 3 adults (2 A and 1 C(F)age 18) in 2024. We haven’t been in 5 years so have no idea on what food costs are now and would really appreciate a realistic daily budget idea. Previously we have spent loads on merch but I am worried this time we won’t be able to as food costs and merch is so much more expensive. Also, have you done a vlog on how you bought your DVC as we very nearly bought in 2012 but they sold out of Saratoga Springs points, now I am thinking buying resale might be an option and would love to see how it’s done. Xx

Hi - of course we don't mind you asking. Are you staying at port Orleans? We budgeted $250 a day for a family of 4 for 30 days. It worked out about right and we did bring home a fair bit of merch. Food is slightly more expensive than it used to be, but quick service in the parks isn't too bad. We have done a DVC direct Vs Resale but are planning to film a new, updated version this week. Feel free to check out the old vlog, but keep your eyes peeled for the new one 😊

@@thefinlayadventure6255 brilliant, that’s great, I thought it would be more than that for everything you were able to eat/drink etc that makes me feel better. Such a relief to see how far your money can still go. I loved all the different places you were able to eat at too. I love an American steak. 🥩 💕Was that just for food or did that cover all your Ubers and shopping too? We will be relying on Uber to get us around out of Disney, we used to take buses before Uber arrived, that was fun. Thanks, will check out your DVC vlog and look out for the update, it has certainly reminded us how much we wanted to do DVC before. Xx

@@magicandmemories5871 that budget was for everything - including lyft/Uber which we used as well. Where's your favourite place to eat in Orlando? Our favourite steak was in Manny's Chophouse 🤤

@@thefinlayadventure6255 we have never been to Mannys but heard lots of good things about it, is it on I drive? that steak looked lovely. We haven’t stayed off site for ages, our daughter is autistic and prefers the feeling of safety of being on site. That limits where you eat a lot. I much prefer off site restaurants, we used to love Bob Evan’s and Perkins (and Ponderosa before it went down hill) more recently we went to chilli’s and Appleby’s both were decent. I really liked the look of cicis when you went there. Xx

Manny's is just outside Orlando (15 minutes Uber drive). That's understandable. The Disney 'bubble' does feel like the safest place in the world. Cici's was good. Cheap and cheerful. Thinking about it, there are SO MANY places on i-drive we'd like to try in the future 👌🏻
