Orlando Vlogs Day 24+25 | Waiting out the Hurricane | Deluxe Perks Extended Hours Magic Kingdom
After a rough check in at Animal Kingdom, we spend some time decompressing and exploring the resort as Hurricane Idalia sweeps throguh Florida. Jake can't get enough of the animals just hanging out outside the room. We take some lunch at BJ's before heading into Magic Kingdom for an afternoon of fun. We get suckered into extra magic hours and make the most of the low waiting times despite being exhausted :)

I enjoyed your chilled Resort day as I haven’t spent a lot of time at Animal Kingdom Lodge so that was interesting to see the outside areas. You certainly saw a lot of animals from your room balcony when it was feeding time, that was incredible! It made me laugh that you guys are getting a few airs and graces being DVC members basically insinuating that your Savanna view room at Jambo House was slumming it a bit because you had to see other people in the corridor and you didn’t have a big enough fridge! Me I’m happy at the value resorts because I actually like being around the other guests and the bright colourful in her face Disney decorations!

Donna and I just laughed out loud at your comment 🤣 we really are DVC snobs now. Lol. Not in a bad way though,I just think we prefer a resort that feels quiet and away from the chaos, you know? But hey, that's why Disney has different resorts to cater to everyone. Also, that savanna view balcony was a dream come true

You know what, it never seems to be on when we're there. We've been into the building and spent AGES looking at all the stuff in there, but that's it. Really need to do it one day

Beautiful resort ,our friends are DVC members ,have been for over 20yrs ,we stayed there with them in a 2 bedroomed savannah view villa ,absolutely stunning couldn’t fault it

It truly is a beautiful resort. We were in awe every time we stepped onto the balcony, and the lobbies were just epic - so pretty and full of detail Thanks for commenting :)

I totally agree with all the points you made about what a DVC member should expect. I think aspects of Disney is slipping. The parks, bathrooms, eating spots always used to be so clean and well tended to. I see a big change at Disneyland. It really is too bad. Watching someones Tokyo Disney trip...wow, they still do it right !!!!

Another story, we went to the Disneyland Christmas party. No parking in regular parks, had to go way off to the Convention lot. Not one single attendant at end of day. Big, dark lot that was so dangerous ( section of Anaheim). Wrote to Disney to say they needed to do better and think of the customers safety. No word back !!!

Japan just has a different stance on cleanliness altogether. Disney is no exception. We'd love to get over there at some point

It's a shame they didn't respond to your complaint. Customer safety and satisfaction should be top of their priority list when using off-site parking. It's the attention to detail that made Disney a cut above the rest. They are definitely forgetting that

@@thefinlayadventure6255 Another crazy experience, went on Kali River with my son. We both wore ponchos as we didn't want to be wet all day. One cast member saw us take off ponchos at end of ride. She came over and literally sprayed my head for about 2 minutes. I was drenched, make up ruined and embarrassed for my wet top.....I was crying and honestly didn't know what to do. In thinking back, I wished I reported her. We were filming for my sons channel and needless to say, didn't want to be filmed the rest of the day.
