Whats up man ..I've only tried 2 the original ormomde jayne for men n tiaf I think if that what its called lol something lik that ..what are some of your favorites from the house
@@nicholasthompson1927 Hey there! My current top favourites are Ta’if, Levant La Route de la Soie and Champaca along with Montabaco Intensivo (perfect for tobacco/leather lovers). I also really enjoyed Sampaquita, Nawab of Oudh and The new Evernia 😊👌
Something in the DNA of this house that imbues an effervescent airiness to the scents. These scents wear like a veil as opposed to a heavy cumbersome coat. I have never seen another house that does fragrances like this one. Definitely a house to smell at least once in your lifetime!
Thats a VERY good way to describe the amazing scents from this house! I love that airy side of many of the perfumes.. Gives them a truly unique light and wearable experience to the kind of scents that are usually super heavy.
Yes! I love meeting creative and passionate people and Linda Pilkington really impressed me! Passionate, extremely knowledgeable and creative. This was a lot of fun and very interesting! 😊
That's true passion right there.. And it's all reflected in the quality of the perfumes and how insanely complex, beautiful yet approachable they all were. 👌
Looooved this vid! I’ve only recently discovered Ormond Jayne & I’m enjoying learning more about the different ranges. Muscat is my absolute fave and maybe even my new signature scent! The ingredients are so unique & high quality. I’m simply obsessed with exploring them all.
Love to hear it! Yes, I completely agree.. There's such a difference in the quality if you compare Ormonde Jayne to most other perfume brands.. Love all the unique scents and the quality just blow my mind 🔥😍👌 It's an exciting brand with fantastic perfumes to explore for sure!
The first time I tried ormonde Jayne , this was exactly what I told the salesperson ‘ the notes are hitting me one by one ‘ it was a crazy experience, I never experienced a better house
wow that was a very nice opportunity you had. Linda is very kind, nice explanation and you let her speak a lot while being always on point or clever in your interventions so congratulation on you. I'm saving money to buy Ta'if, I can't resist it.. it's so interesting and evocative I can't tell.. I love it
Glad you enjoyed it! And Thank you! Yes, Linda was lovely and amazing in sharing the stories behind the perfumes, etc.. And Ta'if REALLY impressed me. Such a beauty! 👌😊
Glad you think so! Thank you! ✨I love listening to talented, inspirational and creative people and this conversation with Linda Pilkington from Ormonde Jayne was so interesting and exciting! 😊🙏
I love this video - the format was fantastic and best deep dive I’ve found on RU-vid yet. You allowed Linda to express the collection in her own artistic vision and let her lead, she was able to describe the fragrance range in terms that were helpful (and intriguing), and you allowed quality time to explore the collection. Now I’m definitely going to order the Discovery Sets and venture down the Ormande Jayne rabbit hole and try to resist blind buying, but it might be difficult. That Sampatica, Taif, and Champaca …
Thank you! When you meet someone who's this passionate and knowledgeable you don't say much. 😉 Listening to Linda was an amazing experience and I'm glad you enjoyed this. Getting samples first is a very smart thing to do and highly recommended. These are some of the most beautiful and high quality scents I ever put my nose to, but they are not cheap so don't blind buy. 😊 Try first, and try properly and see if it's a like or not. And if you end up trying something, please share your thoughts on it 😊🙏
Linda Pilkington is as lovely and passionate as her fragrances. My personal favorites as a man are Ta'if Elixir, Nawab of Oudh Intensivo and Ormonde Man, but I am open to new experiences from her olfactive studio. What strikes me most is the focus on fabulous quality that is absolutely the basis of her success. Her nose has captured the essence of so many fabulous places from around the world and provides me with olfactive mementos from my own travels to the Middle East, India and the Far East. Absolutely stunning quality house indeed...
Thanks for sharing! Yes, I agree. Most Ormonde Jayne perfumes have something extra that just puts them above what a lot of other perfume houses offer. Stunning scents indeed 👌
My pleasure! Glad you enjoyed the video! Great OJ perfumes you own! ta'if is a fabulous one as well as Ormonde Jayne Woman, Nawab of oudh.. And many more. It's really rare for me to come across a perfume house where I enjoy most of their perfumes.. But I did exactly that with Ormonde Jayne. High quality and exclusive ingredients, perfumes that are extremely well made and overall fantastic scents! 👌✨
Just saw this review featuring Ormonde Jayne's Linda Pilkington and had to watch. Her fragrance house is one of my all time favourites. I have a very small Ormonde Jayne collection featuring Evernia, Ta'if and Champaca. Love, love all 3 perfumes, each one very different than the other. In Canada the Ormonde Jayne line is quite expensive so I have to save up to treat myself ... next investment will be Levant ... if I can ever find it instock🤞 Thank you for this super interesting review.
I LOVE Levant! I had a few samples of Ormonde Jayne perfumes with my order of 'Montobaco' hair mist & Levant really surprised me! Such a pretty fragrance, so now I am really eager to try Levant 'Extraordinaire' (Have you tried this one yet?) Harrods exclusive
Qi Intensivo was my favourite Ormonde Jayne fragrance as it smelled just like tea with a squeeze of lemon in it, but then along came Tanger. I'm extremely fussy when it comes to neroli and all citrus and herbal notes and in this fragrance it's blended so masterfully. The two notes are very very soft in presence yet easily detected. Completely unisex and I'd venture to say that a man on holiday to the Amalfi coast would be the PERFECT canvas for it. It's just the right amount of 'hot summer skin smell' mixed with cheerful neroli and citrus. A very smooth, warm fragrance. The dry down makes me think of a less powerful, orange and neroli-touched Baccarat Rouge in that there's more of a suede-musk meshing with human skin kind of base, rather than a resinous woody base. Italian summer in a bottle. Great if you dislike strong citrusy, herby, woody fragrances but would love something fresh and skin-like that won't make people around you nauseous (Qi is similar in this respect; nothing sharp). Thank you so much for this video. Ormonde Jayne are yet to release their magnum opus, but my eyes are trained on them and I'll be waiting. :D
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! 🙏 I could go on and on about A LOT of the perfumes from Ormonde Jayne.. Tanger La Route de la Soie is wicked! Even though I might just think Levant La Route de la Soie managed to charm me a bit more.. 😉 Both are beautiful and so approachable 😍
I’d like the montobaco verano in 45% love this fragrance I have five others coming next week 3 of them elixirs can’t wait to try them out great fragrances from this house.
Such an interesting conversation with Linda Pilkington the founder of Ormonde Jayne about the amazing fragrances she created. Lovely stories about the fragrances and how she created them. Thanx for sharing this amazing video!
Thank you! And Good choice! Love Montabaco! So many good perfumes in this house, just a matter of finding THAT perfect one 😊 Really looking forward to what Ormonde Jayne will release in 2022!
I have taif, tolu, ormonde man, royal elixir, osmanthus and prive. This helps me to get more idea of what to get next because we don't have Ormonde Jayne stalls here in the Philippines. I love OJ house and thank you for this video. She's so lovely too 🤗
@@rottenrebels id like to get montabaco intensivo, champaca, tsarina and nawab of oudh. My wallet is shaking when i hear you like those too 😂 i have tried montabaco and its instant love. Will need to try sampaquita, there are lots of that flowers here in the PH but we call it sampaguita not sampaquita. But you will mostly see those selling in the churches here and although it smells good, its not my type of floral. So i need to try out OJ sampaquita first before i purchase 🤗
Awesome video. It was so informative. I love roses in perfumes. I love the smell of rose water. What are your thoughts of Ta’if? The longevity and sillage? Does is it smell like a spicy rose? Thank you!!
Hi, Rotten Rebel! It’s been a while since I last stopped by. I’m glad did just now. Thanks so much for such a great video! ✨🌟⭐️ I own Damask and Tolu and they’re fantastic fragrances - very well blended with very high quality materials. What was your favorite fragrance, if I may ask? Any unisex (or more feminine fragrances) you would recommend?
Hi there! Welcome back! 😉 Like Linda mentioned they are all gender free.. And I ended up with so many new favourites.. Montabaco Intensivo is a new favourite (I love my tobacco and leathers) and I totally fell in love with Ta’if! Loved Ta’if and it might be one I will get next.. And I also ABSOLUTELY fell in love with Levant La Route de la Soie! I understand why it was described as a bottle of happiness.. It truly felt joyous and amazing. 😍 The "original" Nawab of Oudh also impressed me, but the Elixir version of it was a bit too heavy on the oudh.. Ormonde Jayne Champaca is a beautiful one as well that I really enjoyed.. Sampaquita was a joy as well.. The new Evernia was also impressive. I also understand why Ormonde Jayne Woman is a classic.. It smelled really nice as well.. So a lot of new favourites I would say.. But the ones currently on my list are Ta’if, Levant La Route de la Soie and most likely Champaca 👌 If you end up trying any, then why not try Ta’if, champaca, sampaquita along with Levant La Route de la Soie. And please do let me know how you feel about them.. I´m curious if you also feel that sort of "happiness" vibe that one gets from Levant La Route de la Soie and if you love Ta’if as much as I do 😊
Why Montabaco Verano was not discussed on this review is crazy cuz I absolutely love that fragrance and is definitely better then the OG and the Intensivo version. This fragrance to me is one of Ormonde Jayne's best frags unsiex wise but to me it leans more masculine. The house of OJ knocked it out of the park with that frag! Just thought I would share that for those of you who may not have ever gotten your nose on that one. It's easily wearable and very hard not to like, seriously it's crazy good! Anyways, just my two cents on that particular scent that wasn't mentioned on this video.
I really enjoyed the video but I'm surprised there was no mention of montabaco verano. Maybe it came out after the video, I'm just too lazy to do the research lol
