What I learned: - Tarkus thinks his sword is longer than it is - Leeroy hits like a speeding cargo train - Young Sif hits like a wet noodle but is harder than a rock
their AI is coded this way because all these NPCs have much more HP than the player. this means that they attack when the player attacks to trade a bit of their HP for a big chunk of the player's HP. and since they were not made to fight bosses, they follow the same logic and get flattened
Shit, I completely missed that. Which bows were they trading? Priscilla strikes me as a person who would love something as fancy as a Darkmoon bow, but Ornstein gives me more of a Blackbow of Pharis kind of vibe. Smough is probably crossbow at best though tbh I don’t mean to dunk on that man like that but it is what it is.
@@benknightbus1729 No way. Just from looking at Ornstein you should understand he's a man who appreciates 3 things above all else: Good craftmanship, great power and things labeled "Dragonslayer". The Black Bow is indeed beautiful but it's too weak and its name has nothing to do with the slaying of any flying creatures. No, Dragonslayer Ornstein, wielder of the Dragonslayer Spear, is a man who would settle for nothing less than a Dragonslayer Greatbow. At best Smough picks a crossbow but let's not be too optimistic... you know he's sniping you with a dung pie.
Me playing DS: welp time to go take out doggo with no second thoughts. Also me seeing O&S tag team him in the corner: Stop it! You can’t do that to him! It’s too cruel!
@@rysspace2511 no they should not, the only thing matured rated about this game is it robbing away your sanity the more you die, which is lore friendly. Also bare feet waifus. Also also may include eldritch horrors.
I was hoping sif was gonna get the last hit and it wasn't looking like he was gonna get it, I thought ol' sif was done fir. But then he gottem!! Roller coaster right there at the end
She tried to get the last hit but Ornstein was like: Ornstein: You did nothing but hide and you think you can sneak pass me. Oh no you don't. Priscilla: How did I lose. Your my pray, my pray. Ornstein: Now for Sif turn to...... impossible, how did you...... Sif: we won, we won. I actually won. I guess Priscilla's plan actually worked. Priscilla we won, we..... Priscilla? Oh I won. I thought you were invisible attacking. So Ornstein got you..... oh well. Victory scream.
Sif had it rough, Priscilla could hurt him with friendly fire, as seen when Priscilla uses her dragon breath. Sif got thrown a bone with his limping modded out though (young Sif starts limping at 30% HP, adult Sif limps at 10% HP).
I like how at end of first matches O an Smo walk back like "Yeah, thays over now." But then when O dies Smo finishes the fight and stands there like "You made me phase 2 for this?" Nice clutch play by Sif.
Me and a friend were chatting the other day that its funny that in DS3 the Dancer is one of Pontif Sullivyns lapdogs but you fight her afterward. I'm genuinely curious who would win in a fight. I love the content you make, its simply enjoyable.
I think if the Onion family had gotten Smough out of the way first, they probably would've done way better. Good luck getting any NPC to properly focus someone down, though.
That was very epic on many levels! Pricilla vs Ornstein was too cool, like it should be in the game. And Sif was indeed a good doggo. Also Weakness: Fatty
