Welcome to Osaka Japan Vlog, Let's spend a day with me^^ (I was born and raised in Japan)! Okonomiyaki (お好み焼き) is one of the most popular Osaka food, it is easy to cook, but really tasty!
In this video I introduce how to cook Okonomiyaki, and also I compare the taste difference between local Okonomiyaki and 7-Eleven's frozen Okonomiyaki. Also I introduced one of the most popular chain supermarket in Japan "LIFE". I shop the ingredients of Okonomiya, and introduce how much it cost, and how the supermarket looks like!

I really like how you show us the reality of living in Osaka like how to fill fuel and shopping at the supermarket. It’s so interesting for us to see. Rion, I was so excited to see this video! I was planning to make okonomiyaki for the first time next week for my birthday. Seeing your video has made me look forward to my first okonomiyaki even more. We have all the ingredients (except the cabbage, which I will buy next week), and I even ordered a griddle pan and special spatulas. I have Sapporo beer in the refrigerator to enjoy with it! That looks good!! Here in PH, we have a Japanese store that specializes in okonomiyaki, it’s name is ‘Dotonbori’ with a racoon logo. Not sure if it really came from Japan but it really tastes good! Personally though, I prefer takoyaki than okonomiyaki. How about you? 😊 Looking forward eating an okonomiyaki freshly made from Osaka. More videos like this, Rion!! Thanks for another great video. My mom was born and raised in Osaka so we ate okonomiyaki growing up. No mayo though. She also added green onions and squid or shrimp. I prefer Osaka style more than Hiroshima style, but both taste good. Didn't skip ads to support!

I have eaten okonomiyaki at chibo diversity restaurant before, it's a little pricey, but it tastes good.. But what i miss more about osaka is the convini store.. We love to enter every single of them even though for only to buy coolish ice cream, haha

There's this rumour in western countries that Japanese and most Asian countries hate cheese, but it doesn't seem to be true at all. Every Japanese person I've met seems to love cheese. The best chips I've ever had in my life are the cheddar flavoured Japanese snack Aerial. I've got half a cabbage that I didn't know what I wanted to do with, so I think I'll try to make okonomiyaki tonight!

rion,i had 3 different types of okonomiyaki when i was in osaka and they were all lovely,i just couldn`t pick which one i thought was the best!! i did have okonomiyaki in hiroshima too and i have to say they are made very differently, i just couldn`t say who did the better version honestly!! i just love okonomiyaki however its done!! ha ha!! great vlog rion!! arigatou!!!

Hi Rion, thanks for the episode. You probably know but there is a good okonomiyaki restaurant close to Midosuji line Dobutsuen-mae station (two blocks away) and its in your vicinity I guess. I really do recommend. Its not so cheap 1000 ish ¥ for varieties and is a small restaurant with only two tables and few bar stools. Usually you have to wait for an available table. It turned a bit touristy recently I guess but still many Japanese customers as well. Try if you can, if you haven't yet. I had eaten okonomiyaki in many places in Osaka even in Hiroshima Okinomimura (tried in few shops) but by far Okonomiyaki Chitose (ちとせお好み焼き) is the best. So big, yummy and filling that I can't wait to go back....
