My latest attempt at Nitrate reduction in my Oscar tank is under way!
As well as growing a tropical plant where I NEVER have to worry about watering it!
Tried a while with golden pothos, but it was simply just too frail and had its delicate water roots shredded repeatedly by my Oscar.

So how much Nitrate do yu get removed by this plant? I tried this too for many years but the lost of heat and increased humidity in the room let me switch to an actual Nitrate filter with selective resin that drops NO3 permanently under 5 ppm
